The wait in the drive thru on a Saturday night is, of course, long. I came to try the chili cheese dog. The hot dog was snappy, the chili had a pleasant bite to it, the shredded cheese was melty and the bun was soft and squishy. Overall, an excellent chili cheese dog! It was a bit more expensive than other chili dogs I’ve had, but it was a nice experience. Probably too much to ever order again.

This is a new Dairy Queen – literally one week old. It has a modern layout, is shiny and has all the latest decor and equipment. It is easily the nicest Dairy Queen I have ever been in, and I have been in many. They have one of the very nice self-serve soda machines with numerous options. They have a few flat screen televisions with sports programming in the lobby. They even have you take a number when you order and bring your food out to you.

I would have given 5 stars except for the fact the window cashier didn’t give me back my change of $12.00. I was there on 3/18/22 @ 8:57:11pm, order #AAAESKPNAJFS. I didn’t notice I was missing my change until after they closed. I didn’t call the location the next day because I figured they would just think I was trying to scam them. However, after being in Retail for many years and completing thousands of cash reports myself, I know what it’s like to have customers call and report a shortage in change given back. The cashier & I were distracted because I needed a lid put on my ice cream (the ice cream I ordered was great). Since my order was $8.16, amount tendered was $20.16, my change due of $12.00 made my order VERY expensive.

I’ve been here several times and for some reason I’m always hoping it will be different, but it never is. This last time I ordered an medium Oreo blizzard, and it would appear they only put 1/2 an Oreo cookie in it and charged me $6.00. It’s like that every time. Sure it’s not the end of the world and yes I still got ice cream, but it’s such a let down.
