First the Pizza is good. No doubt about it. But the actual service and method of service is horrible. First you will stand in line looking at pizza “types” through glass while the worker/owner stand behind glass without a care in the world, actually they refrained from any contact with us. Signs everywhere say Cash only – I am fine with that… but there are no prices anywhere – NONE. You shuffle along and as I ask what is available- he just taps on a plastic sign like I should know. So hurriedly my daughter and I chose and shuffled down toward other items- small salads, olives, etc. NO PRICES. Then you wait for cashier who can ring you up till there is a slice of pizza on your tray and has no idea how much it will be – she told me $6.00 to $10.00 a slice. I am thinking “I should have enough cash”. I get a drink which is a fountain drink for $5.00. The entire bill was close to $30.00 with tax. The icing on the cake is the tip jar, there is no way I am tipping anyone in a place where In line, expects cash only with no prices, you get your own drink and you clear your own table. They couldn’t even smile… I may have tipped if they were even slightly pleasant. This is not a fancy place by any means and I know times are tough, I get it – but how about service with a smile. I think this family has lost the joy of owning a business in a busy tourist area. That’s my opinion. Again Pizza was great, service atmosphere get a big fat ZERO!

Pizza Time was voted as the second best in the US a while back on TripAdvisor. While I’m not sure if they still have that rating today, I decided to swing by while in St. Augustine to see if it truly lived up to the hype.

Great traditional pizza spot with a wide selection of pies. A little pricey, but the slices are pretty big. Pizza was delicious, some of the best we have ever had. Service was great as well. Keep in mind, they only take cash.

The Arancini was the star of our lunch, we should have ordered more of that and less pizza.

First, the pizza is good. I’ve had just as good elsewhere in Florida, but it was good NY pizza. Butt there’s more wrong with this place than the right pizza. We were passing through St Augustine and went there because we were told it was the best pizza in Florida. You look for parking anywhere in SA. We searched for about a half hour before we found a lot with a spot. A lot of the streets are 1 way, usually the wrong way. The shop is on a pedestrian-only street. So, there’s no visual reference to help find the place. We lucked out with a $10 church lot about 6 blocks away. The line was out the door. That was a good sign. When I try pizza for the first time, I always get a cheese pizza. It’s the standard by which a pizzeria should be judged. A cheese slice is $5.50 plus tax I was planning on also getting a slice with sausage. 2 things prevented that. First, I started the day with $20 in my pocket. After parking I had $10 left. This place is cash-only. Multiple signs makes this clear IN the store. Unless I wanted to go to the back of the line, I could only have 1 slice. Second, they don’t custom make pizza. What they have on display is all they’ll sell. Also, this is the first pizzeria I have EVER been in that didn’t have grated cheese or garlic powder! Was it worth a visit? Sure, as a touristy thing to do. And, the pizza was good.

My wife and I went to this place after hearing a recommendation from our neighbor. We bought 4 slices of pizza, including meat lover, Rustica and Gramma’s pizza together with a soda and a bottle of water. It came out pretty expensive. Maybe that’s why they did not have the price tag displayed. $8 each slice of pizza was acceptable to me in the tourist area during this time. However, $5 a soda and $4 a bottled water seems a rip-off. Besides, I found the pizza a bit too salty. I’d prefer Hungry Howie’s pizza which tastes much better to me.

Amazing new York style pizza! I even saw them making their own dough in the back. It is cash only and the price for 4 slices for me and my fiancé was $40, which caught us off guard. But it was honestly so good, and I had a lot of leftover pizza for a late night snack!
