Started out in the drive thru and there was no movement after 10 minutes. Pulled into the parking lot and went inside. 5 clueless people working. The 2 trucks that were in front of us in drive thru left. Ordered a turkey sandwich with lettuce, tomato, Swiss cheese and no mayo just mustard. There was hardly any meat on the sandwich and so much mustard it was almost inedible. See pictures.

Fresh made sandwiches so don’t be in a rush, if you are go elsewhere. Staff is “usually” pretty good. I have learned to know exactly what you want on it and to to speak clearly or you get the eye roll lol. Sometimes, it’s better to walk in than the drive thru

Good bread. Food is good. Employees weren’t very friendly. This is located inside Lancaster market. Easy location. Seating inside. Easy parking.

It is great to have a QSR out here on this end of town, and having the somewhat healthy San Francisco Sourdough Eatery is awesome! However…we showed up 15 min to 6pm on a Saturday night (earliest SSD store closing in the area) and the customer service was not great. Apparently they close at 6pm. Hard to fathom closing at 6 on Saturday night in July. So we tipped 20%, ahead of the service and still were treated like we were puttingthem out, even though we were there a full 15 min. prior to close and we took it to go,so they didn’t have to clean up after us. They were a 5 star prior, only 4 now. If this was my only experience here I would have given a 3.

First, this place is located inside a gasoline station. Now I’ve had some wonderful food from gasoline stations and traveling around the United States and the world over the past 65 years, but it’s never the most beautiful setting. Often, the atmosphere is tainted with the smell of old gasoline and stale customers. Fortunately, that’s not the case here. The restaurant is actually very clean, as is the entire station. As for the food, it’s okay. Nothing fabulous, nothing it would make me say yeah let’s go there because it’s really really extra good. But, it’ll get you through the day if you’re just traveling through. Now, I have eaten at some restaurants in gasoline stations where that was the reason you went. You didn’t really care about the gasoline or the groceries. You cared about the barbecue and the beer. I’m thinking now of Rudy’s in Texas. I’ve also eaten at some fish places where the fish was the reason to show up. Fried Chicken the same. Not this place. It could be if they really wanted to put the dog on, hire some help who are conversational, they could actually make this a really good place to eat. I just think they look at it as a side business rather than a real restaurant business.

Excellent sandwiches made to order. Although they claim to be San Francisco sourdough, if you’ve ever had the real thing you’ll know that it’s a good effort that they put in but it’s not quite the same. I would definitely recommend trying them if you like San Francisco sourdough because it’s about as close as you’re going to get this far north to The real McCoy.

Order the Pastrami and Turkey on dark rye w/Pepper Jack cheese and all the fixings. The sandwich was toasted. It was amazing. Stuffed full of meats and toppings, and sooo very fresh. The staff was awsome . I showed up close to closing time, but they didn’t miss a beat. Very helpful, professional and polite. Great job team. Looking forward to my next visit.
