On the weekend (Fri-Sunday’s), LJ’z Backyard Bayou transforms to a popup restaurant serving all the cajun and creole favorites to include Po Boys, Seafood, Jambalaya and our popular in-house made Boudin Balls. Each week LJ’z Backyard Bayou provide a new meal of the week to go along with the favorites. LJ’z ByB also offer event space rental and customize meals for small gatherings and kids parties.

I love this place! The owners are very engaging, and the food is amazing! I had the stuffed shrimp with crawfish mac & cheese and cabbage as my sides. It was so good that I got a plate of sides to go. This place is very busy and the food is made to order so you will have a bit of a wait for your food to come out. Trust me, it’s worth the wait!

Great service and great food! We had cajun crafish by the pound, swamp potato and the bayou fish and it was all delicious! They are the nicest owners who welcome you with open arms and make sure you leave full and happy! Thanks for providing amazing creole food!

My wife and boys came here because we couldn’t figure out which Mexican place we wanted to eat in. I’m glad we did. The food was great, our waitress was wonderful, and the front deck eating area was comfortable. The swamp potato was awesome, and the alligator po boy that I sampled from one of the boys was really good too. Definitely check it out if you’re here reading reviews trying to decide if it’s for you.

Another great meal at LJz! Every bite was delicious! I had fish and shrimp❤️the breading is light and crispy and perfectly seasoned. My sides were potato salad and fried corn! Seasoning is always spot on! And the owners are such great people! They love what they do and it shows in every aspect of this place, the food, the porch and the music!

I don’t know where to start. Bar none this is the best cajun I’ve had outside of Louisiana. So far, I’ve tried the Étouffée, Red Beans and Rice, Gator Bites, Crawfish Mac-n-Cheese, and the Cabbage. I can’t say a single bad thing about any of it. Every dish is singularly spectacular, all the way down to the side dishes. This place is unbelievably good. Also, the owners are super friendly, and the food didn’t take a long time, despite the fact that they were busy.
