Perfect for an intimate date night or a late night cocktail with friends! I was pleasantly surprised! This place has been several different restaurants over the years that fail to make the mark but District Seventy8 is a whole vibe. Loved the atmosphere, music and all the food was delicious . Definitely a must-try!!

Attended a birthday celebration here. If you like well seasoned food select another location. Ordered a salad with my meal and never got the salad. Asked for salt and pepper & lemons for my Seafood Scampi never got it. The music started out lively but the Dj called off that night and after 9 the vibe was off… The extra slow jams put most of our party to sleep. That said, the presentation is very nice. If you were here on a date you may enjoy the ambience but not the food and not the experience… especially at this price.

This was by far the worst experience I’ve had in metro Detroit. Being a foodie I enjoy to get a bit of everything off of the menu, which we later regretted. First off, we had reservations, and the hostess kept seating other people clearly without reservations since we were in earshot. Finally they sat us at a table behind a wall.. literally our only view was the wall. Initially when we asked to be reseated they stated none were available so I kindly asked to cancel our order and miraculously there were 3 tables available. For appetizers we ordered the crab cakes which were definitely not made of crab but of a cheaper fish, perhaps flounder, the shrimp was burned, we asked for a medium steak it was beyond rare, I ordered a Chilean sea bass which too was 100% not a Chilean sea bass. I ordered 2 drinks off of their cocktail menu which also were not served as stated in the menu. When we got our bill they added an extra dessert which is fine, I asked her to bring it since I was already charged, she told me they were out of silverware and they brought us plastic spoons. This place was NOT made for people that can actually differentiate between what is, and what isn’t a Chilean sea bass. I posted the pictures of the steak vs the bill clearly stating a medium finish, of the mystery fish, and of our fine plastic ware.

Food was amazing. I had to take some salmon sliders to go they were so good. Ken, our waiter was great, appreciate him taking care of us. Will definitely be returning!

This place was absolutely delicious. Great service and tasty menu options that I would return for time and time again. The Bing Bong Shrimp had a beautiful heat and sweet finish along with classic Mediterranean styled lamb chops, and Middle Eastern styled meat balls that I would get without the sauce. 5 out of 5 stars for the entire experience. Oh, and their prices were reasonable along with hospitable service!

We tried District 78 for our monthly girls’ dinner. The restaurant is nicely decorated. There were a variety of things available on the menu. As appetizers we tried the fried cauliflower, truffle fries, steak bites, chicken wings, and bing bong shrimp. We ordered a martini flight. They range from $80-$130, we split the largest one between the table. For the main course we tried the alfredo w/salmon, 78 seafood mac, and a burger. All the food was delicious (wings were a bit bland) but the stars of the evening were the steak bites and the salmon alfredo I wanted to try the key lime cheesecake but it was sold out We spent about $110/each give or take a few dollars.

My friend and I made a reservation here for our dinner before the Ari Lennox concert last month. It is a nice place with nice vibes and atmosphere. Our waiter was Ken and he was amazing. Shout out to him! He was friendly and did a wonderful job picking out my first drink, suggesting drinks for us and checking on us. I was visiting Detroit, so I would definitely come back when I visit again.

This black-owned resto-lounge is the newest addition to Downtown Detroit night life. Food is great, fresh and flavorful. The drinks and service along with the ambiance makes for a good night out. The lobster bisque and charred salad was delicious.

I soooo wish I would have taken pics of the inside but alas, I forgot. I feel like I should set the mood so you can try to picture it.

Awesome experience! showed up without a reservation, but the guy at the door was very accommodating in helping us find a seat. Within minutes, we were able to obtain seating at the bar, which was grand as well. I ordered the District burger, which was delicious! I never usually eat an entire burger, but it was fresh and good, and I couldn’t stop eating it! There’s so many good thing on the menu it was hard to decide what to get. The drinks were great made by…..I experienced the Starburst , a lemon and an AllAboutThemApples Martini and they were all good!!! Our server/bartender was great and very attentive she kept us together and suggested things to try! The atmosphere was great! The vibe was great! There was enough seating, though it was packed! The place is beautiful glad they made use of the Rusted Crows old digs….there was enough amazing staff to go around. The music was great! And I can’t wait to return!!!!
