Hidden Gem Italian restaurant! Absolutely love this place, food is very delicious, everything homemade, the customer service is excellent. Nice, clean, romantic, quite place. Definitely recommend for date nights and also it is kid friendly so bringing kids is a plus! Very spacey also. They give large portions of food, so it’s a good bang for your buck! You will be taking home leftovers!

Amazing restaurant with the best authentic Italian cuisine I’ve ever had. A hidden gem. Seriously, go check them out.

Food was delicious. The sole reason it was rated 4 stars was because our salad had brown spots on the lettuce…old and wilted. The entees were delicious, service was pleasant. Our server was very kind, slow on table follow-up, no drink refills until close to our departure (restaurant was fairly empty, therefore, she wasn’t too busy). Would definitely give it another opportunity, as it’s a gem in the Richmond area.

The place was dead for a Saturday evening, so we were seated quickly. The main dining area was decorated with beautiful paintings, yet the tables lacked tablecloths or centerpieces, making the place feel like a nicely decorated Dennys rather than an Italian restaurant. Having paper napkins at the table didn’t help the vibe. The waitress (Ariana) was sweet and greeted us kindly. She brought our drinks and bread to the table quickly, given no other customers in the place.

We haven’t been to Nick’s in a long time so we decided to try it this past Sunday. We arrived early. No cars, but it was only 4pm. We were greeted by a young woman at the podium who turned out to be our server. We ordered our drinks and calamari for an appetizer. “We’re out of calamari.” Now we’re wondering, did we make the right decision? As we looked around, we noticed all the tables were clean and set, and the floor was also clean. We ordered our entrees, chicken picatta and pistachio chicken. The bread service was good. After our salad, our food came out at the perfect time. The chicken picatta was tender and the lemon/butter sauce was excellent. Simple, but I enjoyed it. My wife’s pistachio chicken was very good. Her chicken was also tender. Overall, we were very pleased with the food.

Went today at 11:30 and it was empty. This little place is a diamond in the rough. Service was great and food was awesome. I had the lunch version of Nick’s Shrimp the House Specialty. Don’t understand why there was no business. I definitely will be back.

First time eating here and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. My girlfriend and I had a date night Tuesday and Italian seemed to be a mutual desire for both of us, which is surprising since we usually opt for tacos or a local taqueria. The restaurant is nice and staff was friendly. Menu had lots of options but we decided on basics for our first try. I got the lasagna and she got the half manicotti half cannelloni which came with a salad and garlic bread. We were very pleased with all. We will return!

First time visiting at a family friend’s recommendation who has been going for years. I had high hopes between that and the 4.1 review. I don’t really know how to phrase it except it was awful. The minestrone soup was a vegetable soup with no beans or tomatoes and the flavor was ok but definitely not minestrone. The salad I actually spit out into my napkin because it had a very odd, off-putting taste in the dressing. The sodas were flat and hot. My husband ordered lasagna (fresh cut (??) from the waitress) and I had the rosa ravioli. The lasagna was INEDIBLE and tasted rancid. My ravioli was not bad but was overcooked and had the same funky flavor that the salad and lasagna had. I am pretty sure we will be ill later. Didn’t even bother to complain as the waitress was working her tail off (only one of two) and we just wanted to leave. It was the most disappointing $50 we have spent. Will not be back and I do not recommend it.

I got the crab cakes dinner and my family got chicken parmigiana and linguini w/ shrimp. The food tasted as good as it looked. Jose was also kind and did a great job serving. There is a nice atmosphere as well.

Nicks is by far the best Italian restaurant I have been too. It’s a family owned and operated business. They are all very friendly and hardworking. The food is fresh and homemade. Will be back!
