I enjoy coming here to get chicken over the “colonel”. The chicken is juicy and tender and not greasy. The Cajun fries are yummy and this location gives you the appropriate amount of dipping sauces without feeling like you are robbing them of their profit. Also, if you are looking to get food quickly this location rocks. I can’t say the same for the colonel, I think they’re catching the chicken out back, which is why it takes so long. Good job Popeyes crew!

I guess this is the closest location of Popeyes for people living in and around Concord, Walnut Creek and Pleasant Hill. Always a fan of their fried chicken. Great taste and if they can keep the prices or deals a bit cheaper I would be a much happier paying customer. Love their Spicy Tenders and Ghost wings. Mac&Cheese was bland however the biscuit was top notch. The location is ideal, right next to a gas station. Clean, welcoming and comfortable spot on Clayton. Give this fast food a shot!

Slow. Slow. Slow. Who ever opened this franchise and hired these people should be fired. The drive-thru is 45+ minute wait. Going into the place will be some of the slowest service you’ve ever had. It’s fast food, I can see the chicken under the heat lamp, hundreds of tenders and wings. How the adventure of putting that chicken in a box and handing it to me takes more then 2 minutes is baffling. The food is good (for fast food) but not worth the wait at all.

Popeye’s is the best fried chicken available. I drive all the way out from Lafayette to get it, when I can. Get extra sweet heat too, it really brings the spicy chicken sandwich to life. Learned last week they don’t do chicken tenders in spicy form, so it’s another opportunity to get the sweet heat sauce going. Always good, never bad. And plastic straws are back!

Menus are digital and rotate too quickly. Counter service was poor. Distracted with personal phone, distracted by another EE, and when she suggested a menu option, it was not what I was describing. I just wanted chicken, sides, and biscuits. She sold me on a package that included two chicken sandwiches. So I paid more than I wanted. I added the nrw ghost pepper wings, and they were shriveled up overcooked and nit good. Tossed em. Used to have green beans not available now, and red rice beans changed to more like a soup or chili. It was late (9 pm), but the restaurant and empty tables were messy. Not well managed. The next day, I had bowel issues. I will never return.

His name is called Sultan. The cashier who took care of me gave me my chicken without pirate when I asked for it spicy and the potatoes were very dry. It’s my favorite food. I know when they put love in the kitchen, but this was horrible. I recommend it very bad service I made my claim immediately and he did nothing to change the chicken There has to be a control of the food if it already has a moment outside it gets ugly bad administration

Horrible service. They actually tried to steal one from me I asked for 2 sandwiches, 3 strips, and 2 reg fries to go. When I got to the register, the guy acted like he was mute and never talked to me. Then hr gave thr whole order in a small bag, so I thought something was up. When I checked the bag, there were no fries. I told the guy that I have fries missing. Then the register calls the manager who asked me if I was sure that the fries are missing. I had to show them the bag for them to physically check that I didn’t fet the fries. Then the register asked if I wanted a large fries instead. I said no, I ordered 2 fries, not one large fries. They seem to be completely unapologetic to this situation and tried their best to scam me off. If you order to go, I recommend checking the bag before leaving… or don’t go

Excluding my own bias towards Popeyes, the food was pretty dang good. Except for the surf and turf. There was fried shrimp tails just in there with the shrimp itself and it didnt taste fresh. The tenders still hit home in my heart. But that surf and turf was mildy dissapointing.

HEADS UP! Order ahead of time on the app. Even for drive thru. The lobby is basically closed. Very limited admission. However the hand sanitizer is stocked at the door. (I love free stuff!) Masks required!
