I was so excited to try this place and in the end, I leave so disappointed, we order some tacos and the barbacoa was dry, the carne guisada was salty (reheated too much), then we ordered some chilaquiles with milanesa and they send a burger patty fried with breadcrumbs, it is NOT REAL MILANESA, I asked to the server if that was correct and he said yes with an attitude, not a good experience, I hope the owner can see my review, 2 years to master one recipe? Please don’t lie to the customers!

They left the chips and salsa a little too long in the microwave and it literally burned my tongue so bad! They also asked us 3x what we wanted to drink and still didn’t get our order right (horchata, Dr Pepper and a water)

The place was packed and we asked to be seated outside. The music was a little bit loud and the wait was a little long but so worth it… Everything was delicious!

Second time going here & I really enjoyed the food! I ordered the Longhorn Chilakillers and they were so delicious, definitely recommend! The only issue is their customer service. I really think they can do better when it comes to how they greet their customers.

This is one of Austin’s top Mexican restaurants for breakfast! Los Chilakillers specializes in chilaquiles which is a dish that takes corn tortillas that are cut into pieces and are lightly fried and served with salsa, cheese, toppings, a side of beans, and bread.

I had the pleasure of indulging in the renowned San Luis Potosí chilaquiles at this establishment, and I must say it was an extraordinary experience. Despite the expected wait on a bustling Saturday morning, the quality of the food surpassed all expectations. The flavors were nothing short of exceptional, leaving a lasting impression. This establishment has undeniably set a benchmark that, in my professional opinion, would be challenging for any other location to exceed. It has now become a cherished tradition for me and my companions to visit this remarkable establishment every time we find ourselves in Austin. The level of appreciation and admiration we hold for this place is unparalleled.

Amazing chilaquiles! We got there around 11, by 12:30 there was about an hour wait since the place is small. Food is very well worth it. Perfectly spicey my husband got the mole chilaquiles and were delicious as well. Service was great. Would definitely return and recommend.

I went Thursday for brunch and they were a little busy which I thought was a good sign. However, the food was not very good. The barbacoa was full of fat and burnt and the migas with chorizo was full of veggies. What I really didn’t like is that the menu did not have descriptions for a lot of plates. For example, I got the migas with chorizo and it did not have a description so when I got it, it was full of veggies. Had the menu had a description, I would have said no veggies. Now for the service, we ordered our drinks and a glass of water, but the server didn’t bring the water so we had to ask him again to bring water. He took our order and never came back till the food was out. When he brought the food I asked him for ketchup…I never received my ketchup. My partners meal was given to him incomplete and they never brought him the rest of it. After sitting there for 20min waiting for him to get the rest of it we decided to tell them just to cancel.
