Excellent food! I had the Chile Rellenos and wife had the Enchiladas. Both were superb! No lunch specials available but I think the food quality is more important than getting a deal. I would recommend visiting for sure.

Unfortunately I had to change my review. We’ve visited the past year and absolutely LOVED this place. I’m not sure what happened these past few months. The girl waiting tables couldn’t seem to grasp anything (not a language barrier issue), the food was SO bad…my dogs wouldn’t eat the leftovers when we got home. We spent $75 and had to eat when we got home. Chips were burnt, food was all wrong (twice!), and the food just tasted gross. It used to be fantastic several months ago. There was a much longer wait this time too for food. The bathroom did actually have a toilet seat this time, peed all over and on the floor. Looks like they only give the seat to employees and someone forgot it.

Excellent food, quite authentic! The staff are very nice overall. I have had their tacos and quesadillas- both were super yum! The good news is that now they have liquor license so people can enjoy a margarita or cerveza along with their food!

This places is amazing. Whenever I have the desire to eat home country food I come to Taco Morro Loco. The people are always very friendly and the owners, if they are around, are very friendly and always asking if everything is ok. You should come and enjoy hood Mexican food in Avondale !

This is a hidden gem that most outsider probably never heard of. It’s connected to a service station on the corner of fifth and forth street. There fish, shrimp and vegetable tacos were extremely good. The decor might not be all that but the staff and food more than made it for it. If you are in Birmingham, try it. Don’t judge this restaurant by it’s outer appearance. Try it
