After counting the days until the soft opening Mom’s Dishes is finally open, and we’ll worth the wait. Incredible food in monstrous portions and wallet friendly.

First of all I love the atmosphere! It’s clean and the decor is awesome! But that does not make up for the WonTon Noodle Soup being so bland. There was no flavor at all. There were only three wontons in it and a couple of shrimp and then the noodles and bok choy. It was a large bowl yes but not worth $24.75( I believe this was the price). We tried it and will just continue to go to our regular place. My sons Pho was ok, nothing amazing. It was nice to try a new place. Service was ok. They brought out my sons pho and then I had to wait a bit for mine.

The food was a good attempt at bringing Vietnamese food to the area but is a little lacking. We ordered the “spicy beef noodle soup” – the Hue Style Beef Noodle soup – and the Grilled Pork Ribs. Unfortunately, the large bowl of soup was mostly broth and had the wrong kind of noodles. They were more like thin bun rieu noodles than the thicker cylindrical kind typically associated with Hue style beef broth noodles and could use a little more seasoning. The pork ribs were cooked well but missed out on the seasoning and didn’t look anything close to the menu image. All this could be overlooked for a soft opening, however the prices were excessively over priced, at ~$25 and ~$24 respectively when compared to other venues with similar offerings. The bathroom looked like an unkept storage unit and the drinks showed up in soda cans and water bottles. The service was subpar and the staff needs more training. The aesthetic doesn’t make up for your meal and wallet unless you’re there for selfies.

I thought it was gonna be real authentic food . Not at all ! It’s a more expensive knock off version of Panda Express! The place is nice and clean . And the ppl are really nice . Food has no flavor . Sadly disappointed

The banh mi was absolutely delish! They made everything in house including the spreads on the banh mi and it tasted very good and authentic. The pho broth was also very good and rich, without being too heavy. Highly recommend their cheese fries as well! I’m glad a good Vietnamese place is here!
