This fusion restaurant of Asian cuisine and southern style dishes was unexpected, but it worked. From pad thai to brisket, they have a variety of different dishes for you to try.

Table 19 has hit it’s stride…not only for the location at one of Vermont’s golfing gems ( Crown Point Country Club), but for the cuisine, a bit unusual ( the Southeast Asian influence) for this area, the gracious, attentive, unhurried service and the eclectic live music. On my visit I opted for the “special”… Kathryn’s kitchen produced a broiled Sea Scallop with a Miso reduction over Forbidden Rice ( ? ;-), and matched with impossibly fresh local green beans. Joe, who was manning the bar in Stu’s absence steered me to the house white… a perfect pairing. All through dinner the ‘Stringfield Springers’ provided a subtle, but energetic background soundtrack to a perfect Vermont evening. For dessert, there were hushed tones regarding a triple layer vanilla/chocolate cake with ganache filling and frosting… well, the ‘brick’ of cake that arrived, accompanied by the best restaurant coffee I have ever had, was simply overwhelming… I highly recommend a visit!

So ordered edamame and fried pickles for apps. Pickles were great but edamame was edible but over cooked. Informed server and got an apology but no offer to redo. Dinner was southern fried chicken which my wife liked and I thought was good, I had bbq with ribs and brisket ribs had a pretty good fat cap on them which didn’t leave a great feeling in your mouth and brisket was on the tough side, my son got fried rice with chicken which he didn’t like and exchanged for a burger which he did like. Once bill arrived we were charged for both kids meals and when I questioned the server on this I was informed that manager instructed her not to remove it and asked if I wanted to speak with manager, of course I did. When he came over he asked if they had done anything wrong in preparing the rice and I said I didn’t try it but my son didn’t like it and wanted to change out for burger. I further said I’ve never been charged for changing out a kids meal. He asked again if they had done anything wrong and I said I don’t know cause again I didn’t try it. He replied that if they didn’t do anything wrong then 2 kids meals were ordered and should be paid for but if it was a big deal to me he could take it off. I’ve never had to argue with any restaurant about this before.

Lovely atmosphere and wonderful meal. I can’t stop talking about how great my experience was there from the hostess, waiter, to the friendly visit from the owner at every table. He even began chatting with us about facts of the restaurant. WOW!!!!
