Delicious Authentic Chinese! The crispy duck was a bit too salty and I wish it would have come with some kind of vegetable or buns to balance the salt and crisp BUT the garlic cucumbers were phenomenal and the soup dumplings may have been the best I’ve ever had. Food aside, our beers were cold, the service was good, and everything came out fast. All in all, good experience.

The atmosphere was so great there, same as the customer service. We got stir fried dry pot and spice chicken stew for two. It comes with two white rice. I don’t really eat spicy food that much, so we asked the waiter to get mild spice for the dry pot. It tastes so good!

Yi Pin restaurant has a variety of Chinese dishes such as barbecue, Sichuan spicy cuisine, and many street foods. The dishes are well made and taste authentic. However I do not overall enjoy a satisfying experience because of a few factors. The service is mediocre and I don’t feel very welcomed. Their interior decorations are confusing and feel like Chinese restaurants in the 2000s trying to be fashionable with an European style of irrelevant wine bottles, chandelier, and fake plants and flowers. The food is also expensive and small in portion – prepare to spend 25-30 per person. In the context of Philly where good Chinese food is limited, I would say it’s not bad, but I don’t crave the food here and won’t hesitate to go somewhere else when the option appears

Yi Pin was delicious! Service was very fast, accommodating, and all of the food was very flavorful. The numbing spice was a real winner for all of us. We especially loved the pork belly appetizer’s sauce! The mix of chili oil, sweetness, and a touch of sour had us all eating it off our chopsticks! I personally LOVED the Spicy Sour Shredded Potatoes, too.

I visited Yi Pin Restaurant in Philadelphia recently, and I have to say, the food was delicious. I highly recommend the chicken lo mein, which was packed with flavor and perfectly cooked. The dumplings in chili sauce were also a standout dish, with a nice balance of heat and savory flavors. The General Tso’s tofu was another winner, with a crispy texture and just the right amount of sweetness in the sauce.

FRESHEST Chinese meal I ever had. The ginger and carrots were fresh cut. The sauces were light. Not heavy with oil. Love the big screen playing the Chinese version of the Voice. Bright delightful interior. Friendly attentive staff. Nearly didn’t go in because the outside looked blah. They were one of the few restaurants open after 9 pm and I’m so glad they were and I’m so glad we went in! YUM!

I’ve ordered out from here, and it was good. I respect the ingredients, which were well flavored and were complimentary to the dish make up, and I also liked the portions, presentation, and substance to the food. I recommend the tofu dishes, and scallion pancakes, because I am vegetarian, and did not try meat.

Yi Pin was nice for something good to eat on a late night. The decor is very different than expected but fun and inviting nonetheless. The food was flavorful and came out fast. The staff could be a little more inviting but hey still good food but that’d make it a 5 star experience.
