I haven’t had really great Cuban food since I was in Key West and this place definitely filled that void. Delicious cafe con leche and the plantains were cooked perfectly along with a delicious Cuban grilled cheese! Also, the gentleman that took my order was so friendly and polite. I will be back when I visit the area again.

I had seen this spot for awhile, and been meaning to stop. Tuesday was the day. I needed a quick cold drink, and decided to visit. The Passion Fruit Juice sounded refreshing, but had added sugar, so I settled with Bottled Water. I tried the Sweet Plantains as a snack, and did not go wrong. They were delicious and cooked to perfection! Mishelle was extremely friendly and helpful in answering my questions and explaining menu offerings. She mentioned the upcoming week of special Sandwich offerings, so I will definitely be back! I want to try the Beef Cubano.

My photos don’t do it justice lol I love this place!!! The menu is simple but this is a great example of “less is more”. Absolutely delicious food, incredibly friendly and helpful staff, very generous portions. I had the café con leche, a mango juice, and jamoncito with yuca fries and my husband had a Cuban coffee, Medianoche con maduros and a juice as well – all of it was outstanding. I am one happy Latina! Jajaja.

Excellent sandwich, delicious coffee, and such friendly people. I’m not sure why people are complaining about the price. It’s right in line with the cost of doing business these days. Thank goodness this place is close to my office. I’ll be a regular for sure.

The authentic Cuban sandwich was AMAZING..I was born and raised in Tampa, eating in Ybor City, true Cuban cuisine. This was the closest I have had since living here. It was pressed perfectly and the Cuban pork was so flavorful. If you want a true taste of a Cuban sandwich head here.

Best Cuban sandwich I’ve had around here, honestly can’t think of another one that I’ve enjoyed as much. The fried plantains were so good, and everything came out super fast. Another plus is the incredibly friendly people working there! Will definitely be back.

Over 20 years ago I fell in love with Cuban coffee while in Miami, since then I have tried to find a place that can compare. Outside of Ybor and Miami no place has delived such an amazing cup of coffee as Sweet Plantain does. On top of the best cup of coffee I have had in a decade or so 5he food they offer is to die for.

This place is awesome and worth a shoot if want some cuban food. Service was excellent. So happy we stopped by. Their cuban was delicious – Yellow mustard, swiss cheese, both hams and great bread. The cafe con leche was good too.
