I ordered the appetizer#19 which consisted of Chicken fingers, boneless ribs, crab rangoon, beef teriyaki, fried rice and an egg roll. I enjoyed the fingers and Rangoon. The beef teriyaki and ribs were ok however the rice was extremely dry and bland. Normally this wouldn’t be a problem BUT they neglected to give me any soy sauce. Luckily I had some hiding in my fridge. Egg roll was barely edible.

I drive from Norridgewock for their chinese food, it’s easily the best in a 45 minute radius. The chicken fingers aren’t all breading and no chicken, the orange chicken was perfect, and the spareribs aren’t fatty. The prices are reasonable, the service is fast, and the food is incredible! If you know of a better chinese restaurant, I need their name, because Chen’s, IMO, is next to impossible to beat.

The food is good and that’s about it. The people they have answering the phones and taking your order are very rude. The last few times I’ve called they seemed bothered and sigh when u ask for a total or how long. Also it seems to be a issue when u ask for extra duck sauce.

I don’t think I will go back for awhile. The meat was so fatty and tough. They keep going up on their prices and I am sure I was over charged. I ordered house fried rice, was supposed to have steak, shrimp, pork and chicken, it had a few pieces of dried up chicken and maybe 4 very small shrimp. The crab rangoons should be called cream cheese rangoons.

We just picked up Christmas Eve dinner from here for the first time. We LOVED it!! Everything was extremely fresh, tender, light, & delicious! Get the house fried rice-full of yummy fresh vegetables. Family that runs it are all super sweet & friendly too!! It’s now our new favorite Chinese place!! ♥️

I ordered chicken fingers from there the other day and the chicken, had a very off taste. And what is really weird is that they have children running the cash register. The young lady that took my order had to stand on a crate to speak with me. I brought them back and shared them with my roommates and they even said that the chicken fingers were not what they are supposed to taste like. And the duck sauce tasted like vinegar, it’s actually supposed to have a sweet taste to the sauce. I don’t think I will be going back to that take out. Eastern delight is a much better place to go.

We just moved to Augusta and thought we’d try this place because it was close. We were feeding 8 people who helped us move so we got a little bit of everything. The sesame chicken was blah.. The General Tsao was the only thing worth having. Beef and broccoli was salty and portion was small. Fried Rice 3 was not good. Pork fried rice was just ok. I don’t advise the chicken wings. I had asked for hot mustard and an extra duck sauce and you would think I had robbed the place of liquid gold! She slammed the window in my face. We will not be returning.

This place is amazing. Chinese food is just one of those things I don’t like to budge on mainly because I have a large family, so it is really expensive, therefore, I stick with what I know, which was Canton Express as it was the only place my parents ever ate from, so I just carried that on with my own family. The quality of food there has gone downhill so drastically that I decided to take a chance with Chen’s… I will never order from another place again now. The food is always fresh and tastes amazing. This is, hands down, the best restaurant in Augusta and it far outdoes Canton, as well as Lucky Garden, which I also recently tried at the advice of someone else. I’m sticking with Chen’s and I hope they never go away!! The family that owns it is also very pleasant to deal with. I absolutely love the fact that they have their little girl working the register and taking orders most of the time. They are instilling so many important values in that child that seem to have been lost by the American people. I’m proud to support any business that holds tight to the values this country was built on. Amazing people, amazing food. You just can’t go wrong here.
