The oysters with the collards and cheese were delicious. The lobster roll was great but I felt like it been better with melted cheese added. It isn’t big it’s a roll and come with 1 side in which I choose mac and cheese. I wasn’t a fan of the Mac and cheese it wasn’t thick and cheesy it was loose and watery but after salt and pepper it was ok but wish I’d gotten collards or potatoes salad instead. The potatoes salad was good and judging by the collards on the oysters I’m sure alone they be amazing. I will try the next visit. I taste the flounder it was good as well the scallops. The hushpuppies they bring out are amazing. The ahi tuna appetizer is pretty good. I do wish I had ginger to go with it. I didn’t ask if they had any but I think that would have given it a little more razzle dazzle. We did order drinks in which I didn’t post but they were both cocktails the first two listed on their drink menu and they were delicious. Over all I gave 4 stars only because of the mac and cheese. Also service was great. Nice and kind young man served us and it was quick. It wasn’t many people their at the time which made our experience even better.

Absolutely would not recommend….(Not pictured: mac & cheese, fried oysters, firecracker shrimp, cheeseburger w/fries which also looked horrible presentation wise except for the cheeseburger/fries)….Look at the lobster roll….You can clearly see that no effort was made….$70 worth of food, $0 worth of enjoyment….

First and foremost…The food is delicious. The service is incredible. The entire team at Vail House makes the experience that of a family gathering. They are my go to for a night out for supper. The live music this evening was outstanding. Thank you.

They close at 9. I went in at 8:20 to eat at bar and was told kitchen is closed because “it closes early.” Then they asked if I want a to-go order; but how you ask, if the kitchen is closed. Unknown. Perhaps to go food doesn’t come from kitchen. The place was dead, I guess they wanted to go home. I should have ordered to go then sat down to eat it until 9. I went to Jay’s across the street and it was excellent.
