For our founder, Manish, Kesar is the queen of spices. So, when his daughter was born, he already knew what he was going to name her. He also knew that when he would realize his lifelong dream of opening a restaurant, it would be for his princess, his Kesar. And in 2018, he finally realized his dream. This time again, he knew precisely what his lifelong dream would be named – Kesar’s.

A great addition to the cuisine of India at oak tree. It offers nice Thali options and lot of choices for paratha and chaats. Great to have sumptuous veg food after a long time. Serving portions are quite good and 1 plate can be share by 2 adults easily.

We had the Paanch Chat Thali and the Kesar’s Special Thali. (The latter was average but the Paanch Chat was incredibly delicious!). The server and host were really pleasant which was a delightful surprise considering desi restaurants generally have terrible customer service! I’d return to try other things on the menu and eat the Paanch Chat Thali AGAIN!

One of the worst experience ever we have from all Indian restaurant in New Jersey specially on oak tree Rd. Food was horrible and manager was giving pointless excuses. Rotla was not cooked properly, vegetables was tasteless and specially butter milk was one of the most horrible taste. There are so many restaurants serve best kathiyawadi food and chipper than “kesar”. શ્રીખંડ was like plain sweet yogurt. Khaman also was tasteless. I am goody person as well as my family and no one is ready to go back to this restaurant again.

Didn’t even know they opened a location in Edison! Great experience- food was excellent, service was good, and prices are reasonable as well. Nice and clean as it just opened. Hope all of the above stay this way! Highly recommend this place.
