Asked for a margarita, they don’t have margaritas Just nasty beer. Salsa was ketchup with a couple tomatoes. Green salsa was so watered down, it was unedible. Food had absolutely no flavor! Weird music playing and the eagle statue was creepy and out of place. Weird flying carpets on the wall. Don’t waste your time or money here!

Just discovered my new FAVORITE Mexican restaurant in Knoxville with good delicious food and great friendly service. The staff here were very nice and constantly checking up on my table to see if I further need anything. I ordered the Super Mariachi Special Fajitas skillet with rib eye steak, chicken breast, shrimps grilled with mushrooms, onions, and pineapple and came with another big plate of rice, beans, and veggies. They gave me so much food that I couldn’t finish eating in one sitting. Before my main course, they gave me chips and salsa to munch on while I was waiting for it. Anyways, this place gives you so much food that you gotta have an appetite before coming here. I will definitely be back here regularly from now on.

The day we were there, their AC must not have been working because it was uncomfortably hot. Their taco salad left a lot to be desired. It basically was just a little bit of lettuce and taco meat without much seasoning. We were seated right away, but waited quite a bit for service.

We tried El Mariachi Loco for lunch, and I would say the service was fantastic. Fast seating and the food came out in 5 to 7 minutes. You can definitely do lunch on an hour lunch break, no problem. The atmosphere is bland and unimaginative. The music was overly loud and repetitive polka MExican/South Ametican style. Many other Mexican restaurants have a much better mix that is not grating. I will say the food was above average and that salsa (a thin puree version) was tasty. Their homemade hotsauce is by far one of the best I have ever had. The price is reasonable or slightly to the barging side given the large portions. All in all give the food a shot and enjoy great service. It’s really a 3.5 overall.

I got the combo meal and it was awesome! The chili relleno was very good. All food was actually great and it was only $10. Their salsa is excellent and it has a little kick to it. I’d definitely stop by if I was driving by again!
