Consistently solid Breakfast Tacos. The staff is always upbeat and friendly. There’s usually a line, which is a good sign of damn good food. Their taco salads, crispy tacos, and enchiladas plates are also amazing, pretty much anything you get will be a delight. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Austin for sure. Some locations still close at 2pm and can’t fault them for that!

So glad that they are still open. We have lost a lot of good little restaurants. A great value. Queso is really good not too spicy. Chips are really good and I love their enchiladas. Highly recommend. Whenever I’m down this way I always try to swing in and get some. If you’re in the area give it a try.

Like this location a lot. Great people. Order was completely correct. Coffee is great and creamer in a carafe. Salsas are fresh and easy to get to. Layout of the store is great and you don’t have to walk around tables to get anywhere. Very clean and shiny. Could not find any negatives to report.

The quality of food and service has declined rapidly at this location. Don’t dare ask for a Migas burrito in a bowl, that’s forbidden because they don’t have a price on the menu. Here’s an idea, maybe charge me for a burrito bowl, since that’s exactly what I ordered.

I have been looking for a “fast food” taco place since we moved to the area. I wanted a place with good tacos, salsa and that was fast. This place fits the bill! I got crispy tacos, steak fajita quesadilla and queso. I was pleasantly surprised at how good it all was! And to top it off, the young man at the window of the drive thru was so nice and genuine. We have found our new taco joint!

Regrettably, the cook did not prepare the food correctly, resulting in a bland dish. I ordered Orlando’s Breakfast Plate. The menu states you will get “scrambled eggs mixed with sausage and chorizo.” I got eggs topped with sausage and chorizo. They were not even mixed! This may be a time-saving technique for this restaurant, but the flavor is lost when you fail to mix the sausage, chorizo, and eggs while cooking. Giving 3 stars because the staff was friendly.

Apparently I’ve been sleeping on Taco Shack for years. The food is fantastic, especially the barbacoa tacos. What makes this location the best is the gentleman who I believe is the owner. I’ll drive out of my way just to patronize this location.

Absolutely never disappointed with the food. It’s always delicious and the recipes remind me of north austin 2000s. However, the service is like 5/10 so bad. Getting charged for things that don’t end up in the bag, bad fountain drinks, missing ingredients on tacos, etc. and honestly it’s usually not a big deal, but with the prices being SO high I shouldn’t have my order messed up every single time. 25¢ for extra salsa that I didn’t get, so $2 I paid for just ♀️ ♀️? My favorite salsa and breakfast tacos, but it’s not even worth it anymore. Like get it together or make your prices match the quality of your restaurants.

I’ve had some cold food and stale taters from this place. My buddy encouraged me to go back and try them again. I ordered a beef tip taco with gravy. Turned out to be pretty tough. I also ordered an ATX taco. My first bite was yellow liquid uncooked eggs. Not grease from the brisket. I asked them if they put sauce, maybe their own sauce. They confirmed it was uncooked egg and asked me if I wanted to add something to the taco to make it taste better, unbelievable remark. At 3.99 a taco, cooked eggs would be appreciated? I’ll stick to Bill Miller’s down the road.
