This place could easily fix the issues. The tortilla of the burrito was rough and it was probably sitting there on their counter for a while. They forgot to put chips, so I had to go back and get it. Also, they charge for tap water. The carne assada in the burrito was okay. Also, tipping doesn’t provide you better service, so there is no point in it, since they are only giving you the food over the counter and not providing any other service.

Value of the food was great. I shared the chimichanga with a friend and I was full. It included beans, rice, chips and salsa. I couldn’t eat more.

I ordered the combo, and the volume is huge, which is totally out of my mind. Love the beef pasta

While it may never beat the actual restaurant it’s based on, this is still a fantastic stop! The enchilada suizas are easily my favorite and the people prepared them surprisingly fast (I think I only waited 5 minutes after ordering). I do wish they have more mole options, but what is available is solid.

#4 enchilada Cold. I think it was in a fridge because the order was ready faster than normal. sauce & chicken was good.

Edit: While the following review still stands for this visit, we have since eaten at the actual Red Iguana 2 and had a much better experience. (We were invited to a celebration there.) So maybe don’t judge the other restaurants in the family by this small offshoot. I still recommend avoiding the Salsa Española at all costs.

nice little add that they give you chips and salsa but after paying $10 for a burrito it kind of evens out.

Good vegetarian options. Meals come with a side of chips and salsa. Fajitas were delicious and the bean and rice burrito was tasty and filling. Nice place to go for a quick lunch or dinner. We went in a friday at about 5:30 and there was only a few minute wait to order and a few more minutes until the food was ready. Has a good spicy flavor but not too hot that it burns.

I’m unsure why the star rating for this is low. This is a good place. I’m prefer the actual full restaurant because we can get alcohol, but this is easy and fast when in the city creek area.
