All may seemed nice at the beginning. Our horrible thanksgiving starts with this wobbly table and impolite waiter. We are all Asians as you may see. We feel we are neglected at all time as the waiter was only here for order and check. While checking, he is trying to grab our card instead of showing how much to pay first. He didn’t tell us that the service fee is included at all until we realized at the end. The way he talks is bossy and try to order us what to do. Didn’t come to the table to ask about the food ever !!!

The atmosphere and service is great. The quality of the food not really up to the price. Basically the quality does not match the high price. Avoid the prawns and the buffalo ribeye is decent. The cocktails are not worth the price.

Wonderful service! We were the first group to open the restaurant. We were all greeted with smiles and lovely pleasantries. Lots to choose from on the breakfast menu. Everyone’s food was delicious!

By far the best food and service in all of Aspen! A friend and I went for a late lunch and Michele, himself, offered us his two favorite places to be seated! With a breathtaking Mountain View, lush leather chairs, and first class service, champagne and a perfectly paired meal, careful accommodations to my celiac diet; it was the best part of our entire trip! Prospect offered a classy atmosphere that felt very personal and still fun and casual in an Aspen kind of way!

I hate to do this. Overall, we had a good experience at Hotel Jerome and would stay again, and love Aspen. This is specifically for the maitre’d/host we had during our reservation at Prospect, and not for the other staff nor the food—which was great. I called down 3 times to try to let the restaurant know that we had gotten in later than anticipated to Aspen and could be running a bit behind to make our reservation. Ultimately, we were 2-3 minutes late to a 7:30pm reservation. No one answered the phone so I personally walked down to let them know we had just checked in and were getting our bags settled and would be down shortly. Both the hotel check in desk and the person who brought our bags up, even let me know it would be “fine” and not an issue. We were very cognizant of our later than anticipated arrival and making sure to communicate this. We did not get into Aspen until a little after 7pm. The host however, told me her “staff had been on for 10 hours” and that she wanted them to “be able to go home soon.” I asked why we were allowed to make a 7:30pm reservation if the restaurant was concerned about staff hours. She asked me to “not feel guilty,” to which I expressed she had made me feel extremely guilty! She kept saying things in contradiction: “on one hand, for you, this will be fine,” and on the other “my staff has been here 10 hours.” Is this something you share with restaurant guests regularly? Maybe she was the one who wanted to go home! It was a disappointing welcome, and ruined an otherwise great meal and service from our server and other staff.

Expensive but excellent food including kids’ menu that is varied and exceptional. Cauliflower bisque was complex but light, excellent sea bass. Warm and attentive service despite a bunch of admittedly annoying kids at our table.

The meal was very good. The limited prix fix menu that didn’t even offer the fish listed(we were the first sat table for the evening) was very good from a taste standpoint. The lack of options was disappointing. The service was terrible. Ordered 2 bottles of expensive wine and waited 20 minutes for the second. Came after our final course was delivered. Didn’t realize there was a 22% gratuity on the bill. This was for a four top. For a $1500 bill I wouldn’t go back. There’s several great options in Aspen and this isn’t one of them.

Went here for dinner first and then breakfast a day later with my lady. Both times were great! The food is sensational! The scallops here were the best scallops I’ve ever had, and I lived along the coast for 16 years of my life. The carrot purée plated with the scallops must’ve been blessed by a priest on the way to the table, because holy smokes was it the best purée we’ve ever had! Loved the Mumbai punch cocktail, I see so many over priced drinks these days that don’t taste anything close to worth it. These are so worth it, and one of my jobs is I’m a bartender. During breakfast I was literally upset at how good the food was. Food has no business being that good, and yet it was. The potatoes were amazing, the omelette was melt in your mouth status, and the cappuccino and juices were excellent. I will say the energizer I thought would be better based on how popular it was, but still good. This place shouldn’t be missed for any stay in Aspen, or even driving through.
