Best Chinese food in Madison, and surrounding area. Food is always top notch, service is always great, it feels good when you go in and they focus a lot on their dine in, versus more focused on to-go. And I mean that it’s not a “fast food” version, as it is with other Chinese restaurants in Madison. I’ve dined in several times but my most recent was takeout. I ordered a lot, they had to get a box but still it only took 20 minutes from the time I got there. 5 minutes at other places because most of it is ready already. They made mine fresh.

This Is a new China Cottage location where LaChine was. Food was good, my favorite was the crab Rangoon. They were stuffed, sweet and creamy with the lightest crunch! Yum. I like that they serve hot and sour soup as your premeal instead of a miso or broth. The shrimp sweet and sour was great. The only problem I had- and it may just be me…I can’t find good fried rice anywhere…But! So glad to have good Chinese close again!!!
