Service was extremely slow (and this was not acknowledged), server was not engaged at all. We were a table of two. When we did get our food (which was brought out by someone else so I think was forgotten), my son’s hot sandwich was cold and the bread was mushy. My cold wrap was tasty but I had very little dipping sauce (black plastic cup not even half full) and my fries were clearly from the bottom of the fryer. Loved the atmosphere, but won’t be returning.

Great atmosphere and attentive, pleasant service. Our food was okay. My fish and chips were heavily breaded and the sauce was bland. My friend’s chicken sandwich also lacked flavor. I should have ordered a burger!

Not even a veggie burger on the menu. There are a lot of vegetarian people in Ames… it’s not that hard! Went to visit my son in college and left immediately. Waitress was extremely rude when I asked about vegetarian options and rolled her eyes at me. I literally have a meat allergy… sorry that inconveniences you so badly. ♀️

The food was hot, fresh and well seasoned. The variety is very limited however, thus why the 4 stars. The drink menu is amazing however. The service was great. The waitress was friendly, welcoming and prompt with attending the table. The atmosphere is great for indoor and out door. The top deck is great to sit and drink on.

Great place to bring the family and friends. The service was wonderful, accurate and timely. The choices on the menu were varied and each pleased our guests. Even though we didn’t sit on the patio, it looked great and perhaps next time weather permitting we will give it a try. Tons of ISU memorabilia to look at, and plenty of TVs to catch a game.

I was looking for a burger place during a recent visit to Ames. My host suggested Wallaby’s and it did not disappoint! The atmosphere was sort of an upscale sports bar with lots of Iowa State and other sports memorabilia on the walls. Lots of TVs with tons of options to watch. The burger was very good. I will definitely plan to visit this place again next time I make it to Ames.

We usually have a good time coming here. Tonight the drinks were too strong and the margarita had a salt and pepper rim??…there was also a broken bottle of gin sitting out and not thrown away..there could be small amounts of glass that they are pouring out into drinks since the bottle was broke. Usually I am impressed tonight I wasn’t.
