No frills good BBQ!! The folks running this place are a breath of fresh air. Courteous, super friendly and appreciative to have you there. The ribs were flavorful and cooked to perfection. You can’t forget to take an order of the banana pudding – just like grandma used to make!!

This place is very expensive. I ordered a chopped brisket sandwich, two sides and a sweet tea and that lady charged me $38.75. Stanleys is way better and i can get three beers and still pay less than this place. The brisket was dry, but the smoke flavor was good. I Will definitely not be coming back.

Don’t let the tiny building fool you. Rips is packed with flavor. The staff is bend-over-backward friendly and helpful and the owner is just an amazing fellow. Granted anything you get will be full of flavor but we love their tacos and loaded nachos the best. They are PACKED full of both flavor and meat. The beans and sides are always hot and free too!

The service was good and everyone was very nice. The food however, was overpriced (even for bbq) and was not very good compared to alot of others I have visited. I got the 2 meat plate. There were very minimal choices for sides, mainly beans or potato salad. The beans were a 5/10 (and I tried all 3). The potato salad unfortunately was about the same. The brisket was sliced see-thru thin and I asked for sausage and got served some sort of cheap hot link instead. The meats tasted as if there were a few days old and re-heated in a microwave. They were rubbery (even sliced that thin) and dry. I wish this place well but it’s not for me.

Ate lunch here Saturday June 24 around 2:30pm. Parking is all paved and seating is ALL outdoor. To order step inside the building. It’s pretty small in there but the menu is simple to navigate. I ordered the Mrs Rip and it was gooood! With chips and a soda got out at $12. Good place to stop and rest and get a bite to eat.

Came to visit Palestine from El Paso and found this place on Google maps. I have to say this is very delicious and a hearty portion! My husband could only repeat “not bad this is so good!” Tastes great and wonderful people! The meat literally falls off the bone! And the BBQ sauce is great with the chicken!
