This Monterey Park institution is famous for their spicy Green Chile Burritos. I got their #8 Burrito plate and it was fantastic. The burrito had some serious heat and the rice & beans tasted fresh and homemade. There are a few tables outside to eat next to the small parking lot. Definitely will be back.

Nicest people work there. They greet you and care to develop relationships with returning customers. Food is authentic and not greasy. Reasonable prices too. Only thing I’d change is to add is jack cheese as another type of cheese option. Queso fresco and yellow cheddar are the only options. Cheddar cheese they use isn’t the best tasting and their flour tortillas are ok, other brands may taste better. Just some suggestions, but everything else is top notch!

I always stop in when in the area for my favorite burrito, green chili. One of the few places where the green chili is actually spicy. Maria is a real sweetheart. She’s been there for ever. Also delicious fish taco, tacos duraderas ( crispy/hard ). A bean and cheese burrito delicious as well.

We needed a break from local spots on Cesar Chavez, I took a ride to Mexicatessen on Atlantic by the Monterey Park Hospital. I had a green chili and my brother had a red chili burrito, the green chili was perfect, not to hot. They make the best green chili with pork, sometimes extremely Hot, but always Delicious.
