I was underwhelmed by my recent lunch experience at Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop – Castleton Crossing location. I ordered a medium cheesesteak with cheese, grilled onions, and mayonnaise, hoping to indulge in a delicious and satisfying sandwich. Unfortunately, my expectations were not met.

Customer service was blah, I ordered the medium Homemade Tuna sub and my Husband ordered the American Wagyu Slaw be jo. My tuna sub was perfect however, the Wagyu was ordered without mayo and to our surprise it instead had extra mayo. Didn’t want to make a fuss about it because he was hungry, so he removed off as much as he could. Besides the extra mayo he did enjoy the sub. Overall the subs were good and very filling, we may revisit in the future.

Ordered Classic Italian & American Wagyu Slaw BE JO. Quality meats on the Italian. No Italian dressing but Italian Seasoning. America Wagyu is roast beef. The slaw probably doesn’t need to be included but thousand island dressing was good. I’d try a different Wagyu next time.

We spontaneously stopped at Capriotti’s and I am so glad! We got the large Impossible Cheese Steak Sandwich (which is actually 2 full subs!). I positively inhaled my portion. It was the best vegetarian version of a Cheese Steak sandwich that I’ve ever had and it tasted just like the sandwiches from Philly! I cannot rave about this sandwich enough. Everything was perfect: the ingredients, textures, FLAVOR, and temperature. It’s not a matter of if but when we’ll revisit Capriotti’s. Absolutely fantastic! Excited to try other things on their menu!

I would rate this place 6 ⭐ if I could! Found this place by accident. It is the only sandwich shop I go to now. I can’t brag enough about how fresh their food is! The staff is absolutely amazing! They’re fresh turkey sandwich and their Philly is a must-try! You won’t be disappointed! Also super fast for on-the-go or lunch.
