A FAMILY TRADITION SINCE 1946
In 1946, Tony Prince opened his Italian American restaurant with Talita at his side. Tony and Talita later opened a small diner called “Tiny Tim’s” serving Tiny Tim Burgers and Dad’s Coney’s, along with dinners.
In 1968, Tony traveled to New York, Michigan, and Illinois in search of a great Coney Island. Columbus had some great Coney Island shops in those days, and he knew he had to create a great recipe to compete. Working in his small kitchen in the Short North of Columbus he created this wonderful coney sauce, which became well known. Frankie, working with his father at the young age of nine years old learned how this sauce was made.

I ordered queso fries. Cheese sauce was white which was good- initially, however, The cheese did not taste like cheese and they were not as crispy as I would have liked them to be. I would possibly give them another try, to see how the other food tastes, but I would not recommend them either.

Good coney dogs, mild chili on top but they have side sauces for more heat if you wish. The bun just melts it’s so soft. The spaghetti was tasty as well. I would recommend it! But the best is just their hospitality, friendly kind family run business, great values and a book to sign if you need prayers 🙂

I’m giving them 4 because I felt that the food didn’t have as much flavor as what I was expecting. Don’t get me wrong, the food was not bad, but it can be better. I still feel that this place is worth a stop at lunch

I had the coney spaghetti and it was great! Very friendly people, and the homemade hot sauces were awesome. Will definitely be back when I’m in the area. Just be aware that it seems to have two names – Dad’s and Talita’s. That threw us at first.

I’ve picked up a couple doordash’s from here. So I decided to come back today and try it on my own. And WOW, best coneys in Columbus!!! Nice bite on the hotdog, great great chilli sauce… Good friendly service. This place is A1. I’ve had so many of Detroit’s coney islands. But this Coney is the best!!! Highly recommended

Frankie was the most welcoming! The food was delicious. We will be back again! We had the coleslaw coney and original, seasoned fries and fountain drinks. Frankie even came out and was so personable and being in Columbus finding an owner that comes out to check on your experience is very rare.

Ordered delivery online via Doordash, and it was a lot better than I was expecting! The cheese dogs were pretty good and didn’t have that “in your face” taste like another chili dog place we all know. Will definitely try again soon!
