July 2023: Not as charming as the Providence location, but the oysters were terrific. Lobster bisque had good flavor but no lobster chunks. Fried calamari with wasabi sauce and pickled ginger was excellent. We had it at the Providence location and it was as good as I remembered. Service was friendly, attentive and fast.

We ate all over the area from Mystic to the Cape and everywhere in between. The Providence Oyster Bar on Post Road was by far the best food we had all week! Get the stuffed baked shrimp!!! And don’t wait til your last day because you will want to come back for more 🙂

They’re busy in the evenings, so I recommend a reservation. It’s my favorite seafood restaurant on the main strip in EG. The service is consistent across all employees! Get their baked stuff shrimp because it’s incredible.

If I could give 3.5 stars I would! The Tempura Shrimp was excellent. The sushi was very good, but I think a couple more slices for each roll would have been appropriate for the price.

We celebrated our team Christmas party on Friday, December 16. Our server was Alisa. As you can see from the photo, we are a decent size party. Alisa was amazing! Never appeared flustered or overwhelmed. She was so sweet and helpful, very attentive. The food was awesome. Drinks were fantastic. I would say it was an all around success. Everybody raved about their meal AND several people commented on how great Alisa was!

Outstanding food, service was great but busy (our waiter kept being stopped by other patrons). Lights on table were bright and took up space for apps players on smaller tables. Definitely planning to go back as I wanted to try so many different things on the menu.

We went for brunch with our one-year-old, and our server John could not have been more wonderful! He was so accommodating to our daughter and was so hospitable, funny, and on point with our entire meal. The food was fantastic, too! We always enjoy our meals at POB. Thanks for everything John!

Went there last night for dinner with another couple with 7:15 reservations. We weren’t served our cocktails until after 8. By 830 we inquired about the sushi appetizer we ordered with the cocktails and were told it was a busy night and it was hard to make sushi for 100 people. No apology and no estimate on when we would get the sushi. We had been there over an hour at this point and they still hadn’t taken our dinner order. By 9 PM with still no sushi and no dinner order taken, we paid our $100 drink tab (6 drinks) and left. No apology, no offer to comp anything. They didn’t care. Had dinner across the street at Siennas instead. Too many good restaurants to bother coming back to POB.

Good choice of oysters. The highlight of their menu is the ginger wasabi calamari.
