I only came because of all the hype on TikTok and from my coworker, but the food was mid tbh. Yes the portion is huge, but by stacking the meat up so high, each bite feels super dry since there is no sauce. For $30, I could find other better options in the area.

I’ve heard that Katz is very famous and well known for their sandwiches. I went to try it. I ordered a 1/2 pastrami sandwich with matzo ball soup. The second I took a bite on the sandwich my expression was WOW!! It’s definitely one of the best sandwiches I’ve had. Their meat was soft and tender. The order didn’t take so long to arrive. I highly recommend this place.

Great food without waiting in line! The food is not cheap at all, but so delicious and worth a try! Bought the pastrami sandwich, which came with yummy chicken soup too. Loved the giant pickles!! Stall is in a cool food court with other great food stands too.

The GOAT of NYC delis. Their pastrami and corned beef—thickly cut and piled high on soft rye with a shmeer of spicy mustard—are a thing of beauty. Each sandwich can easily serve two, but who wants to share? With a side of half-sours and black cherry soda, it is a perfect meal. Good fries too.

I’ve had pastrami sandwiches before so I was curious about Katz. It was ok. Nothing really stood out to make it stand above other Jewish delicatessens. Staff was friendly and food was good. Maybe it was the food court vibe?

Look first let me say I’ve never been to the NYC location. So my expectations were high and boy I was not disappointed. I ordered a pastrami on rye and was never happier. The meat was so soft and tender. The mustard was spot on and the bread was fresh. I’ve had a many pastrami in my life but this takes the cake. The staff working on site were extremely friendly and to me asked all the right questions. I finished a half of it and took the rest home. I would come back here again (and the dekalb marketplace).

Finally tried the famous katz’s and got the Pastrami sandwich. I gotta say it didnt really live up to its name. The bread is just a normal supermarket bread while the meat was kind of dry and bland. The mustard sauce on the side was good though. Not sure what is the rave about this place. For a 28$ sandwich, it couldve been better.
