So happy that we finally have a true Roti shop in Orange County, where we can share our culture with our neighbors. Not only is the food amazing but the owner and her family are so welcoming and treat you like their own every time you walk in the door. So proud to be a Trini living in Orange County. We have been going to Taste of Trini since the day they opened. The staff is absolutely amazing, they are friendly and greet every person as they come in. As for the food omg it is delicious…..the doubles are the best!!!! I am there at least once a week if not more!!!!

Let’s just start with this place is 35 minutes from my house. I took the risk of trying it, let me tell you it had me so happy I was literally dancing and smiling all the way home. Small family oriented restaurant. But the food was delicious. Had no clue what to order but they were super helpful. I had the doubles with the sweet sauce it was amazing. Then I figured I would try a curry chicken roti ❤️. I will definitely be taking that drive to experience this again.

First let me say that I am happy to see a Trini restaurant in my neck of the woods and will always support businesses of color. Since I can only get a roti when I travel to my hometown of Queens I was quite EXCITED. The staff was very welcoming as soon as I walked in; it was after 2pm and the food still looked fresh. I ordered a Chicken Bus Up shot; and to my dismay I was not pleased with the portion size. For $11 I do not think the 4 cut up pieces amounted to 1 whole piece of chicken; clearly it wouldn’t be enough for the huge pieces of roti skin. I made some curry chicken at home to enjoy with the roti skin. I also ordered a side of rice & pease; mango & tamarind. The food was tasty and perhaps necessary changes will be made so I can try something different next time.

Ordered food from here for the first time yesterday and it definitely won’t be my last. The food is flavorful and the portions are generous. My fiancé and I truly enjoyed our meal. Finally good authentic tasting food in New Windsor!

Drove and hour to get here and it was definitely worth the ride. The young man at the front was very polite and helpful, he could tell it was my first time ordering at the restaurant and that specific type of food, he was very insightful. The food itself was amazing the doubles we’re definitely delicious would love to have them again, curry chicken with roti was amazing, lastly I had their oxtail with with peas and rice the ox tail was great but I with for a large I could get more meat as the plate had an over abundance of rice, but then agin I could just be being greedy. Definitely come check this place out you will not regret it.
