Easy-going diner with very friendly service and tasty staples. We came on a Saturday morning and got in quick despite the restaurant being full. The prices were extremely reasonable. The portion sizes were generous as well. We really enjoyed the fresh, hot, fluffy biscuits!

Compton’s does it once again! This time our company ordered catfish and meatloaf dinners. The candied yams were REAL potatoes, not canned. The collards were seasoned perfectly. Catfish was tender, and the cornbread is the BEST. THANK YOU ASIA

I just happened to b in the area n pulled in to check out the new place n was pleasantly surprised. I saw that they had done some remodeling to the place and it wasn’t bad. They were experimenting with some new dishes n I ordered a cheese turkey burger n some fries. And, to my surprise, it was pretty good. I asked about the burger n was informed that they were trying out a few new dishes, to see how they would cross over. All in all, I enjoyed myself n would highly recommend Compton’s Kitchen.

Don’t eat here! Food is cold, only two good waitresses out of them all. Blink your eyes and staff changes from day to day. Others are either on their cell phone or out back smoking….. You wait a long time to get your food, drinks refillled and oh the bill, chase waitress down for that. Careful not to fall on the wet or slippery floor. Mop must be rinsed in the fryer oil! Sometimes dishes are removed from the table but beware they probably didn’t wipe the table.

Have a few good waitstaff and the rest are lazy and won’t do anything to help you. Owner is racist and knows nothing about running a restaurant. I’ve been a customer there for years and have never seen a place go down hill so fast. Food is cold whenever you finally receive it. The employees are not properly trained, and there are more dead flies in the window seal most of the time than Carter has pills.

This is a great hidden gem. Everyone of the staff members, esp the cashier, were extremely friendly. You’re greeted upon entering the building. I watched them interact with other customers and they knew names and took care with each thanking them for their business and asking them to come again. I ordered take out and did not wait long before having my order. My food was fresh when I got home, even though I made several stops. Everything was cooked to my specifics and I had more than enough to share with my mom. If you’re looking for a cozy spot to eat for breakfast or lunch or need a catering service check this place out. Prices are reasonable either way.

We had a great experience with our large catering order for breakfast from Compton’s. Despite a little breakdown in communication on the front end and delivery delay outside their control, Asia really came through for us and delivered some great food at a great price. We will order again in the future!
