Cute historic memorabilia. Service was not friendly, sat for 10 minutes before being acknowledged by serving staff. The wait for my food to arrive was long as well. Chicken sandwich and fries tasted like the frying oil had not been changed in awhile.

I always get the Kat fish basket always delish…my kids get cheeseburgers they love that you can go put your own veggies on it. The service is most always great, but when busy they are just that busy so that is understandable. I will say not a place to order steak…but over all a good place to in in this small town of Hooker.

7/24/15 Co-worker and I ate lunch at the Grill. We both had Chicken Fried Steak sandwiches. They were terrible. The sandwich consisted of half of a hamburger bun, small frozen chicken fried steak (soggy and tasteless) and the other half of the hamburger bun. No lettuce, no onion, no tomato, no nothing. The sandwich came with tater tots and they were just okay. We will be going back one of these days to try a hamburger as I have heard they are pretty good. Do NOT buy the Chicken Fried Steak sandwich, you have been warned. Other than the terrible food I had, the grille is a pleasant place to go. Service was slow, but they were busy at the lunch hour so no harm no foul.

Very nostalgic. Special booth areas for family with children to play and stay in sight. Blackboard wall and chalk was a great hit for the 5 year old. Cans full of cars and open space to play. So much memorabilia and classic trinkets. We had the California and western burgers. Very well made, good size burgers with fixings and fries. Fried cheese curds were a nice treat.

My wife and I were driving through, and I insisted we had to stop and visit “Historic Downtown Hooker” simply because I was so amused by the name. We grabbed a bite here and were not disappointed. Fun decor, good food, and friendly service made our stop worthwhile.

I ate here today with my dad. We have eaten here before, and enjoyed it. The place is wonderfully decorated, 50-60s style. It’s fun to browse through all the items hanging on the walls.

The atmosphere is enjoyable, food is good but service at night is horrible. The kids playing server have no experience so don’t expect to get your appetizers or refills when you want them.
