We had an absolutely amazing experience here! The atmosphere was perfect and the food was so delicious! I had the stuffed haddock and my husband had the NY Strip steak, they were both amazing. The owners were so nice too! I would recommend this place to anyone!

We were really impressed with the variety of options on the menu, and the different spins on the choices. Lots of great seafood choices! Salad bar was fresh & full of good stuff, soup was really tasty, and the rolls with cinnamon butter were delicious! Plus the decor and structure of the building is so interesting, and has so much Hortonville history. Great service too!

An amazing experience! The food was incredible. The chef has some serious talent. The variety on the menu and daily specials, I was very impressed. The service was great, and the atmosphere was very nice! Definitely worth checking out! Will be going back again without a doubt!

Went there a few days ago (first time) because we had a gift card. Ordered takeout chicken fettuccine Alfredo and an appetizer of battered onion rings. Alfredo comes with only garlic bread, no salad, which was a disappointment for a dinner entree. Got home and discovered the “garlic bread” was one piece of basically Wonder Bread, buttered and toasted on one side. What a joke. The Alfredo sauce was very thick, with little taste. No fresh mushrooms in the sauce, only many little chunks of broccoli. The onion rings were decent, nicely browned and crispy, and tasted fine. They were the only thing good about this meal. Probably won’t be back.

The food is great! This is truly a great place with a lot of historic references from signage, pictures, and maps in the building. The “newer” dining room adds a lot of space and creates a comfortable warm feeling with the large fireplace at the end.

Had steaks . . .tenderloin, prime rib, NY strip and all three came out perfectly along with the sides that go with them. Salad bar was end of night and could have been freshened but good selection of items.

Superb and friendly service by the female owner. Friday night fish fry has great choice of fish, perch, blue gill, haddock and it includes the salad bar, your choice of potato and warm tastey rolls with cinnamon butter. You can get a “regular” order which is genorous for only $16.95 which includes all of the above or a half order or a combination platter of the above fish for $19.95. So you get a great value served in a warm friendly atmosphere. The rest of their menu is very interesting. I highly recommend.

My wife and I have been here a handful of times. We both liked how it looks, as it’s a cool little place with a nice atmosphere. The first time we went the food was great, but every time we’ve come back it’s been average at best, and a few times it was just not good at all. The last time we went I had what they advertised as the best prime rib in the area, and they didn’t have any medium rare left, so I got the medium. When it came out it was quite cold in the middle and dried out. When I asked the waitress about it she took it and had it dropped in the au jus a bit longer…I ate a few more bites and just finished my baked potato. I’ll admit we came in late, around 8:30, but if you’re out of good steak, just tell me and I’ll order something else instead of wasting the money on a poorly prepared steak.
