When you go out of your way to create the world’s tastiest sandwiches, people tend to go out of their way to get their hands on them. And it’s been like this since we opened the doors of the first TOGO’S in San Jose, California back in 1971. We made the meatiest, most delectable sandwiches around. And people formed lines out the door, anxiously awaiting their turn for taste bud nirvana. Today, people still go above and beyond to get our sandwiches. Because for many, you can never go too far for a TOGO.

I’m surprised I’ve never heard of this place being that it originated from Cali. Very cute concept. I had the pastrami sandwich with the sante fe salad. It was pretty good. I will definitely be back!!

Great sandwich, great service, great atmoshpere with spotless inviting decor. I drove all the way from East Mesa, and it was well worth it. Better than Capriotti’s, better than Firehouse and better than Jersey Mikes by far. I was at San Jose State when it all began in 1971. They were all the rave then, and they are still the bomb!

My favorite sandwich shop for pastrami sandwiches in Mesa. Toppings are piled high and bread is fresh. Docked 1 point from service because the service, was slow compared to nearby businesses. Store is clean and the atmosphere is consistent. Outside signage makes it a little hard to find if you are not familiar with the area as it borders an industrial area and is slightly off the street.

It’s been over 20 years since I’ve been to a togos.. I didnt even know they were still around. I use to go to one in Riverside California. So when I seen it I had to stop and eat. Just as I remembered. So fresh, awesome bread. Huge portions. It was great. The only thing the soda machine only had diet. The fountain machine needed assistance but they were busy it was lunch time. I got tea. It was fine.

Our first time trying this and we were beyond pleased! The place is super clean and has a cool modern industrial vibe. The employees were all very friendly and helpful. We got 3 different subs and a wrap and all were so tasty and delicious. The ingredients are fresh and we will absolutely be back. The best sandwich place I’ve tried so far!

Best pastrami I have had since moving to Arizona three years ago. It’s California style and oh so good. Totally recommend it. I’ll be going back.

If only we didn’t live as far away as we do… Been ordering #9 since the 70’s on my way home from high school in California and this AZ location brings back all the best of those days by making them just as good today!!

Im updating this review (August 2023). Ive been back several times recently, and they seemef to have fixed their process, hire more people, or realized they were not serving their in store customers well. They have sandwich makers that seem dedicated to in-store customers, and not just making online orders. Happy to see the improvements.
