This place is truly excellent. Fantastic food at affordable prices just to cover the basics. This family-run operation serves up authentic Cajun classics in a wholesome environment and the care in their cooking shows. Every dish here takes literally hours of preparation and the results speak for themselves. As soon as you walk in the door you will know they are serious about their craft. Highly recommended and I’d give extra stars if I could ❤️

I absolutely LOVE this place!!! I have tried the gumbo, crawfish etouffee, jambalaya with chicken shrimp and sausage, the southern strawberry shortcake and the s’mores pudding. All seriously scrumptious. It’s very hard to choose a favorite. They even have an option to mix if you can’t decide. I love the use of cornbread in the strawberry shortcake. The etouffee was one of the best I have ever had and I lived in New Orleans for a couple years. Thank you Shiny Gumbo for being open late and for being so close to my home .

We ordered for the first time today and really enjoyed our meals. The flavors were very intense, especially the gumbo. I grew up in southern Mississippi and had gumbo all the time and this really reminded me of that. We will be back.

What a great place! Here chatting with the owners who are absolutely amazing! The food is absolutely amazing too! I mean there’s not many places left where you can get a home cooked meal! You’re definatley going to have to stop by more than once to try the entire menu… or if your here visiting, do the Cajun Mix where you pick and chose your favorite combination of Cajun and Creole

The best gumbo I have ever had! The owners and staff were welcoming and very friendly. The food was amazing and the portion sizes are huge! My favorite dish was the biscuits and gravy! It was truly something special. I highly recommend if you enjoy great food with a little spice!

Shiny Gumbo came to our community tonight and I’m so glad we decided to try them, great food! I had the Gumbo, some of the best I’ve had. My mother had the Red beans and smoked sausage, which she loved! Hope thy come back.
