Hadn’t been back to Pittsfield in 10+ years….made a stop for dinner and it was even better than we remembered! Was sad they aren’t open for lunch since Covid, but the menu was as always. The chicken parm, veal parm, spaghetti was all delicious. The Pittsfield Rye Vienna bread was spectacular!! Grapenut pudding better than the memories.

Terrific local spot in Pittsfield. Family size portions here and great service. Sausage, Peppers and Onions with Spaghetti was great here and some left for later on. Been open since 1936 and the there was definitely a strong regular presence a good sign.

Solid local restaurant. Great service, super friendly. Reasonable prices. We were in the area for the weekend. The previous night we ate at one of the flashier Italian places down in Lenox, and it was good. Well our dinner at Highland were just as good, at a much better price. We had chicken and eggplant dinners with mozzarella triangles to start. Dinners included spaghetti, salad, and fresh bread. Another reviewer complained Highland’s salad was “iceberg lettuce with some tomatoes”. That’s true, but it’s also just the kind of salad I wanted. Basic and fresh. If you want fancy Italian dishes and $12 salads go south on RT20. If you want dinner at Grandmas go to Highland.
