To start everyone was very friendly and helpful. Nice little grocery shop attached. Authentic. Food was good only reason for the 3 stars is 1. our chimichangas tasted like the oil was a bit old and while I love all the cheese inside it wasnt quite melted all the way. Was thick and chunky. (The chicken inside had amazing flavor) 2. The rice seemed a little overcooked and too dry. 3 which is not to big of a problem as it happens. My chimi had a toothpick inside it where they hold it together during frying. Could have been bad if I took a bite with out looking at and cutting food into smaller bites. It happens though so very understanding and atleast 2 people came to check after they were made aware and apologized. Very good people. The good stuff was the beans were perfect with a little spice to it. The horchata was better than most other places but a little strong. Still good though. The salsa was great just wish it had a little more spice to it. Definitely give this place a try. The people are so wonderful definitely worth trying again.

Excellent food and service! Tamales are authentic!! Joel was kind enough to make a special Pomegranate with jalapeños Margarita for me! So delicious! Definitely stop in when you can.

Very Authentic and delicious. If you are looking for some Spanish style home cooking this is it. When you walk in your faces with coolers filled with Jarritos and a couple malts they have a small shop with foods ,spices and various other items. To the other side of the restaurant you have the sit down area with a small bar up front. The lady taking order was extremely nice and knowledgeable. The tacos were filled with home cooked chicken and the sauces were freshly made. My only complaint about the food was the veggies and cilantro wasn’t as fresh as it could have been knocking this one from a five star to four. Other than that highly recommended.

Stumbled on this place on an early morning road trip. Lucky us! Delicious, fresh food thoughtfully prepared. Enjoyed huevos rancheros on the outdoor patio. We were amazed at our luck that we chose El Mirasol and not the fast food options. Perfect stop on a road trip, but if we could, we’d make it a regular destination. Fresh made tortillas!

This was most authentic Mexican restaurant I’ve ever been to. It has a real family atmosphere. The server was very attentive and suggested the best thing on the menu… molcajete. The food was just amazing. Definitely coming back the next time I’m in town.

I had the BBQ Beef Quesadilla with a side of rice and a small salad. The beef has super juicy flavor and has an abundance of cheese. The homemade tortilla is crispy on the edges and never gets soggy. I have had this on at least four occasions. They are very consistent. I highly recommend.
