I love Indian food deeply. When I don’t have time to make it at home, Sawan is my go-to. They aren’t the closest place to me, but worth a drive to dine in or take out. Super fresh, super nice staff, master-class cuisine. Oh, and great prices to boot. If there is any criticism, it’s that when you ask for extra-spicy, it doesn’t seem to happen. I can always add extra heat when I get it home, tho! The goat dishes are sublime!

This is my new favorite Indian restaurant! We went there on Sunday and had their lunch buffet ($14.95 on weekends), and it’s definetly the best buffet (and one of the only open) on the East coast. They provide complimentary garlic nann, their chicken tikka masala is tender and the sauce is creamy, and everything else was also excellent! Their service was also amazing. They always refilled the buffet area and tended to our empty plates. I’m looking forward to coming back here often!

My wife and I discovered Sawan last year after he father passed away and it was a lovely dining experience. Everytime we’re in NJ visiting family since discovering this gem we swing by at least once. We were in NJ because my cousin sadly had abruptly passed away and we were greatly appreciative of Sawan’s lovely food and hospitality. It really meant a lot to us, it lifted our spirits. I cannot lie.. we went three times in a week as their buffet is awesome. We haven’t been to a buffet in 6 years or so, it was a great privilege to have some vegan varieties.

Service was great! But food was just average – paneer was a bit hard, chicken tikka masala was so-so & pricey, garlic naans were also quite pricey at $5-$6 each & they were on the smaller side. Also, no paper plates or plastic utensils or napkins were given with take-out.

Consistently good Indian food in a spacious atmosphere. The owners are very friendly and will accommodate dietary needs whenever possible. Large selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes.

Totally not worth it! Ordered chicken biryani, it was just ok with big cubes of onions and green bell peppers which is traditionally never part of chicken biryani. Also ordered ths chicken malai kebabs. The smoky or grilled flavor was completely missing. And it came with so many onions cooked in milk , it was totally inedible. It wasn’t at all worth $17.

Authentic Indian food at a buffet for those who aren’t sure what’s what and what you like as if yet. Everything is fresh, the staff guess above and beyond to help and explain any dish. Very reasonable price for lunch.

Absolutely amazing experience. Service was great. Before ordering, they served complimentary papad. Food was excellent. They had an entire vegan section on the menu. We had gobi manchurian, veg samosas, aloo chole (served with jeera rice), and puri.
