The Zack Shack has the absolute best burgers around the Knox county area. They are conveniently located on Rt1 at the Rockland/Thomaston line. They also have really good fish tacos. But the burgers are why I continue to go several times a week.

I’ve had the fried haddock basket, lobster roll, crab roll, thoroughly enjoy each time I come here. The lobster roll and crab roll don’t get me full if I eat them as they are a bit small in my opinion. But the fried haddock basket is delicious and gets me full, I could barely finish it. I will always stop by when I’m in town.

This unassuming food truck in an abandoned parking lot is arguably my favorite dining spot in the area. We visit Mid-coast Maine once a year and The Zack Shack is always one of our first stops. The staff are friendly and sociable. The food is delicious with reasonable prices. Service is quick despite their popularity with the local crowd. We visit for a week and will usually come here for lunch at least three times.

Really good food at reasonable prices. Combo basket has haddock bites and shrimp. Good choice if you can’t decide. Fish taco was delicious but a little light on fish. Seating is limited so you might have to wait on a busy day.
