Our hotel suggested this Diner. It is 24 hours and serves basic American food. The coffee is good! I ordered the hamburger steak with potato salad. It was like eating a home cooked meal. The service was excellent. My coffee never got cold because our server was great!

Was at a nearby hotel and went around 11pm for some coffee, everyone was so friendly and the food was so good! Went back for breakfast the next day and again was greeted with very good customer service. Blueberry waffles are delicious and the turkey sausage egg sandwich!

Delicious breakfast spot in Old Town Alexandria! We had really traditional diner staples and they did not disappoint. The over medium eggs were perfect and the bacon was nice a crispy. The grits were smooth and creamy and the pecan waffle was thick and full of nuts. And the wait staff was extremely friendly and attentive. It is a bright clean environment and conveniently located at the top of King Street, a block away from the King Street metro. We will be regulars here for weekend breakfast!

I had the B&E Burger and it was great. The young man that waited on us was so nice and took great care of us. The price wasn’t bad either. It was full of nice friendly folks that spoke us in passing. This is a wonderful place to eat.

People, this is diner food, so if you want gourmet, there are many establishments closer to the water in Old Town that will charge you triple what you pay at Bob and Edith’s Old Town. I had a cheeseburger sub and well done fries smothered in brown gravy. The sub was tasty and the gravy was good for dipping too.

Ordered a half smoke with home fries; the half smoke came out cut up and served as a sandwich between toasted white bread. I stopped and look at it and scratched my head thinking what is this and where is the bun that s half smoked is supposed to be served in. I found the home fries to be a bit greasy and not the usual home fries.

Good service but terrible food!!! There’s no Edith or Bob!!! Everyone was joking and not really working and nobody could hardly speak English!!!! I was very disappointed!!! My meatloaf was dry like it’s been under a light for several days and the coleslaw was terrible. The potato salad was edible but nothing else.
