Ate at Charlos in Springfield Saturday night and the food and service were amazing!!! (And not crazy-expensive) We ordered one of each appetizer (all so good especially the egg rolls). Several people got the pork chop entree and raved about it. I had the chicken fried chicken for dinner (and lunch the next day) and then we ordered one of each dessert. They have beer and wine but limited cocktails. However, they are in a DORA area so we went across the street for cocktails. We all would HIGHLY recommend Charlos for the food snd service! I’d heard Springfield had some good places for dinner and they lived up to the hype! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great place. Excellent service. Nice atmosphere. Very reasonable pricing. I had the French onion soup, shrimp po’ boy, and the pumpkin swirl cake for dessert was awesome! They also have a nice little gourmet grocery section in the front with all kinds of specialty items available.

What a great little eatery with a different twist on traditional favorites. Atmosphere, cleanliness, good service, and good food. Couldn’t get a good pic of the food because we chowed down. Next time I want the blacked shrimp salad to share and desserts!!

Walked in the door and saw the desserts in the display case. The peanut butter and jelly cheesecake was delicious! I would not describe it as cheesecake though, the consistency is more like a mousse. Our sandwiches were exactly as ordered, our glasses never sat empty, and the (upcharge) sweet potato fries were absolutely worth the calories.

First time going and was quite disappointed. It was extremely loud, but that’s due to the high, warehouse-type ceilings. The server was pleasant, but I ordered a catfish po-boy and when it came out it was clearly shrimp. I mentioned it and she said, it may be catfish (as if I couldn’t visibly tell the difference between a catfish filet and the FOUR shrimp on that oversized bun), let me check the ticket. She proceeds to go in the kitchen, confirm it was in fact catfish, then told me they would take the shrimp off that and make me a catfish one in place of it. She took the entire plate while the rest of my party ate their food. My father offered some of their fresh, homemade chips off his plate. Fresh? They were cold w/what appeared to be parmessean from the pIastic bottle sprinkled on top. He ordered a glass of Riesling and it was served in a water glass. It took no less than 15 minutes for the food to come back out and I was about to cancel the order entirely, but just told her to bring it out in a box because everyone else had finished eating and I no longer had an appetite. I didn’t ask for any compensation/credit, but it certainly wasn’t offered either. We paid and left a very gernerous tip, but I will NOT be back when I’m back in town.
