I ordered here tonight and was completely disappointed. The Mac and cheese was horrible noodles were overcooked and huge like the noodles you get in the hamburger helper box. Tasted like macaroni and mash. Fish was not fresh and very salty. Last but not least sweet potatoes was cooked like they were making a sweet potato pie. Not to mention the lady at the cashier was not welcoming at all. I’ve ate here several times off and on today’s meal was by far the worst I’ve ever had from here ! Won’t return

Its a take out place, they have a couple of tables on the sidewalk, but there is no where to sit inside, that’s okay though because its very dark and very dingy inside, no one would want to sit there anyway. If you choose to eat here, call in your order first, the wait is 30-45 min. I unfortunately didn’t know that and was craving fried chicken and some mac-n-cheese, so I went and they said it was going to be 25-30 min (it was actually 45) and signs everywhere asking for your patience which is totally fine, I’m willing to wait for good food. This was NOT good food. After a 45 min wait, I had a fried chicken wing that was cold, and a freshly fried chicken breast that was completely inedible due to rancid oil – I mean I opened the container and was just confronted by the smell of it, it was really really bad. The mac-n-cheese was cold, gritty – like actually GRITTY in texture – and ridiculously salty. After the first bite and the foul odor of the chicken, I threw the entire meal in the dumpster and felt bad for any rats that might get into it.

Simply put, if you respect yourself and your hard earned money, do not support this place. The meat is average but the sides are very good. Not worth the attitude you get from this woman on the line and on the register (whom I believe is the owner). I’ve let it go to many time and even took a day to write this review thinking I wouldn’t still be disappointed and upset the next day but I am. Less for myself but more for the countless customers I’ve seen take this disgusting behavior. I ALWAYS support black small businesses and this pains me

Me and my family stopped in today for the first time. I got the beef ribs, Mac and cheese and cabbage. Everything was flavorful, beef ribs were tender and the plate was PACKED! I will definitely be back! My whole family has lunch AND dinner because that’s how much food they give you here. Absolutely impressed!
