This is a wonderful Asian restaurant in Blowing Rock, right off the highway. The grounds have all kinds of herbs and flowers. The building is very nice. Interior is beautiful.

Great find when passing through the Appalachian mountains, good sushi and all around dishes. Kids loved the place and really enjoyed the drive to and from our hotel. No Picture but we saw a black bear a few block before arriving at The Moon.

Came here for dinner while on a ski trip back in March. This place was so good we went back again the next day – it was the only place we ate out during our trip. Sushi rolls, curry, and thai tea were all amazing. I also tried hot sake for the first time which was very good. The atmosphere is just perfect and we got wonderful, fast service. Love this place so much!!

Nice ambience. We were a family of 6 people. My brother in law and my friend enjoyed the sushi. While the rest of us enjoyed the other dishes. The food was fresh and flavourful. The mango and sticky rice was yummilicious!

Food was average, but I am a Thai lover and this Thai food was not authentic. In addition to our 2 appetizers, and 2 main dishes, we ordered a small side of fried rice. Most fried rice has egg and scallions. This dish tasted like stale brown rice with nothing in it. I asked the waitress to credit the side order of fried rice and she had to get the “manager” who refused to do so. Horrible management decision and so short sided. Guess this manager was not taught about good customer service in her training. We will never return and neither will our family reunions who attended regularly

Terrible service! I will never eat here again! Waited 1 hour, never got my food. The waiter forgot about my order and never came to my table to check. When I encountered with him. He was not sorry about it at all. We came with a group and they charged us 20% tip even though we got 0 service. At the end I left here with empty stomach and ruined rest of my day. Worst experience ever.

Another Opinion
It’s gone consistently downhill the last 5 years. They used to serve generous portions at reasonable prices and tasty. Now you walk out hungry after they serve you scaled back portions for increased prices. It’s annoying when you point this out to them and they refuse to acknowledge this is their new scam to gouge the customer. You would have to order two main entrees to get sufficient portions to make up for their cutback. We will not go back and suggest you avoid the place. The service is horrible with trainee waitresses and for hire help signs out front. Don’t get gouged by going here. This review is sure to be followed by 5star phony reviews by no name posters who are paid to bury negative reviews.
