Of the sushi places in the Omaha metro this is among the best. The other Hiro 88 locations seem a little better, but it’s hard to go wrong with their happy hour. Wide selection of rolls and appetizers to choose from on happy hour.

We love Hiro! I’ve never had a bad drink or meal. It can be pricey, but worth it. Service is so friendly & helpful. Atmosphere is fun and relaxed.

We had a very large party of almost 15 ish people. Right off the bat we were seated immediately, and the service was incredibly smooth and professional. Our waiter was so kind, and everything came out correctly and quickly. Very very well organized establishment, and the food is AMAZING. Definitely one of the best sushi restaurants I’ve been to. Will be back!!!

We have been dining at Hiro 88 in Millard since June 2017. It started out with excellent food, atmosphere, and wines. In recent years, unfortunately, the food and service have declined.

Wanted to go have a nice family dinner but we were shown the door because of our kids. My daughter who is only 2 has dietary restriction and the manager was unwilling to let us feed her food that is specifically made for her from home. He very rudely showed us the door and asked us to leave before we even got settled. I would recommend to go to the downtown location and not the Millard one. We have had way better experience there. At the downtown location they let us bring in food for children’s dietary restrictions.

Excellent service and food with trendy modern asian interior design. The sushi came out very quick and was delicious. Crispy beef was done perfect. I added 3 different vegetables for a couple extra bucks. The hot and sour soup didn’t have much flavor, but the miso was great. Love the carrot ginger salad dressing.

Well like all things, the prices have skyrocketed here. The salmon was $18 and a good size piece a year ago. Now its smaller and $30. Still delicious, but this was a big driver for me coming here. My wife loves the sushi and this was a good later alternative for a non-sushi guy like me. Good gluten free options for my family was a nice surprise.

I really want to love this place. We like to go for happy hour and we prefer to sit at the bar for faster service. This approach backfires on us due to their snarky bartender who gets easily distracted by overly long conversations with other patrons and other employees. It’s more of an irritation, but it’s hard not to get irritated when you’re literally the only two people seated at the bar and I can’t get his attention for a refill because he’s chatting it up with a waiter. Don’t get me wrong. He’s a nice enough guy, but he can be snide and sarcastic which can be off-putting at first. We’re locals and were used to his personality by now, I just wish his service was slightly better, especially during slow times when there should be no excuse for an empty glass.
