I’ve been wanting to come to this KBBQ place for some time and glad I did. They have a wide variety of meat selections and pretty much all the popular ones. Went for the shabu shabu and BBQ AYCE so kinda went nuts. Was not that impressed with the meats for shabu shabu and the broths weren’t that great. I’d rather go to Dada in Irvine for shabu shabu. The BBQ was very tasty. They know how to season their marinated meats well. One thing that wasn’t great was the quality of the meat cuts. Most tended to have a high percentage of fat so looks like cheaper cuts but still very tasty. The place was very dark and kinda hard to see what you’re eating but seems like most places are like that in terms of ambiance. Will be coming back here again the next time I have a monster meat craving…

BWON Shabu and BBQ is the perfect place for a delicious and unique dining experience. From the wide variety of meats and vegetables to choose from to the tasty sauces and delicious side dishes, you can create your delicious meal in no time. The atmosphere is relaxed and comforting, and the staff is friendly and helpful. I had the pleasure of trying the BBQ option and loved it. It was unlike any other dining experience I had before. The flavors were complex and flavorful, and the textures of both the food and the sauces were a perfect complement. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and delicious dining experience. The servings were adequate, and there were consistent server presence and attentiveness.

If there’s one word to describe this place, it would be: understaffed. Granted, we came during New Year’s Eve, so this may not be a fair observation, but we struggled at times to get the server’s attention or receive the right orders. The place has a mixed vibe of Korean BBQ and sports bar. The dining room is only half full, but the staff is already struggling to serve the hungry crowds.

Beside the fact that the meat quality was horrible, and that they season all of their marinated meat with this weird salty sauce, the service here was HORRIBLE. We were never notified that the store was out of major things like the kimchi stew, egg souffle(계란찜), soybean stew, and simple things like side dishes and even sodas. The server never mentioned that things would be out of stock, and she tried to make it seemed like it was ok because their “supreme quality angus beef” was available(which also tasted horriblr). These things should obviously be available, if that is what i came & paid for. When i requested for things like salt and pepper, the server was too annoyed and just brought a huge amount of salt for the five of us. Probably enough salt to give to everyone in the store. If you are to come here, expect very bad service and don’t eat the marinated food. Kbbq is the whole experience of banchan, stews, as a whole package, don’t try to persuade me that i should be satisified for being served what i paid for.

This is an All you can restaurant where you can have options to choose for either or both Korean BBQ and Shabu Shabu with about 5$ different (current price is about 32.99 without tax for choosing both BBQ & Shabu). They have great selection of meat. The waiting list can be long especially on weekends better come before 5:30pm or after 8:30pm.
