Our family’s favorite restaurant! So good, I couldn’t even take a pic of the toreado before we started chomping on it. We get the same thing almost everytime, because it’s just so good: the toreado and street tacos. That’s enough for the three of us and leftovers for lunch the next day.

Some dang fine food. I loved the salsa, add in some Verde for spice if you like kick. Great fresh thin chips. Had the quesadilla special, it was so good, loved the chorizo bean combo. Even the rice was excellent. I cleaned my plate!

The Owner has changed the recipe for ground beef from amazing and delicious to what tastes like dry and tasteless cardboard. Consistency is the #1 thing regarding restaurants and perfect recipes should be closely guarded. After 14 years of eating here 2 to 3 times a week, we will find a new Mexican restaurant! We will miss Jesus, Benjamin, Julian, Fernando, Rueben, Manuel and the entire crew of El Maguey, well, except the owner.

Never have to wait. Fast, fast, service, never pressure to hurry up and pay. Very relaxed atmosphere and staff. Food is always spectacular, and pricing is ridiculous in expensive!

I like El Maguey, have for years. But it’s 2023… Why do you not have a website with an official menu? But it appears each location has to put up their own website (there is one for St. Charles) or search takes me to another El Maguey that apparently is based out of Kansas City. This lack of a web presence has already resulted in me ordering to go from other Mexican restaurants in the area.
