Torigoya is a small yakitori spot that fills up very quickly so get there when it opens or you’ll have to wait. When seated, you have a paper slip to order skewers and then they have a menu with items and prices. Their staff are hustling to serve all the guests and they were timely, despite being so busy.

Order the CHICKEN NANBAN to add to your yakitori experience. It’s boneless chicken battered and deep fried, topped with an egg-potato salad with a vinegar. This dish is an amazing appetizer with texture and great balanced acid. If you

Luckily, we made it to the restaurant just half an hour after it opened and got seated right away at the counter. It was such a treat to watch the chefs grilling all the skewers right in front of us. And let me tell you, every single skewer we tried was absolutely delicious! Also, we were pleasantly surprised by the matcha beer – it was really yummy too!

Long wait since we stopped by to put our name down up front at 7pm and didn’t get seated until 8:50pm. We saw so many great reviews about this place and are huge fan of izakaya, so we decided to walk to all the near by shops and got onigiri at one of the stores to hold us over. What a great call to wait since it was hand down the best skewers restaurant we’ve been to in the US. If you had a chance, get everything with sauce. There wasn’t a huge difference in flavor than dry but they’re definitely more juicy. The meat was lean and just flavorful by itself. We ordered cucumber with special sauce and ot surprisingly a delicious choice to have as a side dish. The miso sauce can also be a dip for the skewers. The sodobodon (ground chicken rice bowl) was a must. All the veggies skewers were delish as well. Cannot recommend this place enough if it wasn’t for the wait, but what good foods weren’t worth waiting for right?

Great food and experience at Torigoya. Be there just at their opening their business at 6 was kinda important if you didn’t make reservation – tables can fill up really quick. Ordered their 10 combo and the chef cooked them beautifully. Genuine experience, although it could be little bit pricey but definitely worth it. Don’t forget to put some of their homemade seasonings on it if you feel a bit light seasoned.

They were really nice and accommodated us even though we didn’t have a reservation. I think we were lucky too have scored the only walk-in that night. The 10 course skewer option was fine but we had to rely on the seasoning at the table. The matcha beer they had was really good.

Very good chicken. Soft Thigh, Meatball, and Chicken Ramen were good. CHICKEN good. Make sure to come early, have limited spots, as it is a small restaurant.

Great place for the most authentic yakitori I have ever had. They had a wide array of drinks as well as food. They had wonderful side dishes to choose from and dessert. The selection of yakitori is also varied and I liked the special heart when I don’t like organ meat.
