Would definitely come back for the sushi and apps. The Dojo roll is in the picture. The teriyaki sauce and shrimp sauce are a bit sweet for my taste. Service was great. Atmosphere could definitely use some updates.

This is a great place to eat and get some great sushi. The wait staff is very helpful in picking out some good sushi. Which is good for someone like me who has not tried much of it. The Japanese food here is great to alone with the sushi. Also, I recommend trying lucky Buda beer, another great suggestion by the wait staff.

Just came here to say the best thing about this restaurant is one of their servers, Leta. She goes above and beyond for her tables with a great attitude. I hope Sushi Dojo knows how lucky they are to have her. Over the years we have eaten here, the food is always good.. sometimes the wait can be excessive.

I went there with a group of coworkers on our lunch hour. There were seven of us total. It took awhile for our server to get our orders. Two tables who came in after ours got their food before we did. My fish tacos didn’t come until fifty minutes after we had been there. My tacos were good but I hardly had any time to eat them because I had to go back to work at by 1pm. Our server was alright, nothing exceptional. Overall I was not impressed with our service due to the wait time. My fish tacos were great though.

Food was great! Prices were affordable! Staff was more than welcoming ❤️ Sushi was fresh and wonderful. my only complaint was it did take an extended amount of time to get refills and the check but I refuse to let that affect my experience. Will be returning! I can’t recommend the egg rolls enough!

Excellent food, large portions, and decent prices (especially compared to sushi places in Charlotte, where I live). One of my favorite places to eat in Shelby! I highly recommend the “I hate my in-laws” maki roll. It’s incredibly delicious and has a fun name, as do many of their rolls!

Ordered the chicken hibachi and it was alright. The chicken was just really dry with little to no flavor at all and the sweet carrots didn’t taste like sweet carrots, they taste more like just regular steamed carrots. My meal was kind of hard to get through just because of how tough and dry the chicken was

Waitress was rude and TRIED to tip herself until I complained. They gave it back. I enjoy their fried crab sticks but it’s not worth potentially being scammed by the obviously poor wait staff.
