Had the Thai Basil shrimp lunch special. Really good tastes but not spicy (I had ordered it spicy and it was not). Great lunch portion size and excellent value ($8.50 for shrimp lunch including soup). Service was good but servers did not seem too happy to be there. Sushi is done in a belt with no menu but they will make specific types if you ask your server.

My husband and I were super excited about finding somewhere local with what looked to be amazing Asian cuisine. However, that excitement faded really fast after being sat and having had no acknowledgement by anyone for 20 minutes. Literally, no one said anything to us that entire time. Not even the bus boys, who were aimlessly wondering around. No one even noticed when we got up from our table and walked out. Sadly, this experience left a sour taste in our mouths and we will most likely, not return. Which is a huge bummer, because as I said before, the menu looks awesome! But you need more than a great menu to equal a great experience. So, we went down the way and had an AMAZING experience at Kobe Sushi. The staff in there are exceptional and ones that the staff at Kobe Asian Cuisine should take notes from.

Great place for where and what it is. this restaurant is a nice added fixture to the dells available cuisine. It is more like 3 restaurants in one. They have a mix of Asian cuisine available for a sit-down dinner, they also have four tables of hibachi that are available by reservation only. And on the other side of that there is a sushi conveyor belt setup. Prices are reasonable for the services offered. And the hibachi show it’s quite entertaining at this time and worth the family event at around $20 per person.

We ate there last week and ordered a wanton soup. It was gross, something smelled not friendly to your tummy and tasted flat. In fairness just wanton itself was great but the broth . It seems like the red pork bbq that they added to the soup was very old and the look of the soup was yellowish greasy. I will rate that soup 1 out of 5. The rest of the food that we ordered previously were fine.

Had a great lunch. Honey Walnut Shrimp and General Tso’s Chicken. Excellent! The folks at the grills were having a really good time (sake!). Chefs were very entertaining. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. We’re happy to finally see a nice Asian restaurant in The Dalles.
