Coming from Houston the tacos were super juicy. Every bite exploded in your mouth. Fries were extremely crispy and soft in the inside and service was friendly and excellent. The spice level tho was super low I guess Californians don’t get as spicy as I thought.

It is truly a great authentic restaurant. I am visiting from Toronto, where we don’t have many taco options, but this place comes at a great price, and it is well worth it. The meat on its own is also tasty, combined with all the ingredients and sauce, yummy! I’m definitely coming back here if I ever visit San Diego again.

Truly skilled artists. It’s amazing watching someone so honed at their profession working so well to create something wonderful for you to eat. I drive about 25 miles out of my way just to eat here sometimes. The Padres win every time I eat a taco here, so I probably haven’t been enough this year, but I’ll try harder next season.

4 stars, an authentic taco place in the heart of downtown san diego. The tacos are prepared in a very traditional way with no fan fare, which to me is how it should be.. no need to dress it up, just delicious meat with the right fixings. Highly suggest the beef tacos and the pork fries.. Expect about $35 for two people. They also have veg options. Line ups are quite long on some days, suggest early or late lunch on a week day.

Look I’m from Philly, we don’t exactly have the biggest concentration of Mexicans nationwide. So when I come visit San Diego, I just got to have the authentic tacos before I leave. This taco joint delivered just that. The tacos al pastor and carne asada were great. I especially loved the tacos de cabeza and tacos de lengua (head meat tacos and tongue meat tacos). The horchata was great as well. I loved this spot and would go again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend!
