Our name “Hapa” signifies our menu split of half sushi rolls and half poke and sashimi options. We are also the halfway point between the next sushi spots on the North Shore. I had the delicious Kilauea Roll. It’s spicy tuna with cucumber, ahi, lava crunch, house made aji pepper sauce, and tobiko. A fiery delight that left me craving for more!

Had on 6/27/23. Sushi was clean and pretty and well-packaged, but the garlic shrimp was dry, flavorless and too big for a human’s mouth. The red raider, while pretty, was nearly flavorless (disappointed). The lilikoi miso salmon roll was well constructed and tasted good. Overall, not the best sushi, especially for the price.

Got a poke bowl and 2 rolls, they were yummy. Only thing we didn’t like is no selection of sauces, only options are ginger and Wasabi, but we like sauces like sriracha.
